Look, if your happy with the win, thats fine. We are 2-0 and just blew a team out, and looked flawless in 2 of 3 phases of the game. I'm not going to say its all doom and gloom.

But, if you are going to argue or to try and minimize the cons in the game, at least come with some substance, instead of making comments that arent backed up by the facts, and then being all passive aggressive about it when its pointed out to be incorrect.

Muhammad Wilkerson's first career sack was a safety.

Revis did get away with a nice forearm to the back of the head on that play.

Not that I will be shedding any tears for everyone who whines about Revis.

    Overall great game.

Sanchez threw the two picks which did not hurt them at all. He still needs to try to eliminate those kind of throws because they will hurt them against good teams.

Hopefully the offense can keep improving as the season progresses.

    Nick Folk 2 for 2.

    Keller had a monster game.

The defense was nasty. Safeties are cool!

Great win happy as hell right now.

    Keep it up Jets! Woot!

Not disappointed with the game, disappointed with the offense

    once or twice

Still leaves it at 2 for 9. Still pathetic

Obviously, i wasn't the only one who was disappointed, since the fans were booing the offense at one point in the 3rd QT

Even Lucas & Schein, on the post-game show, said that the offense needs to play better if we're really going to contend for a SB

Yea that play were sanchez slowed down before was out of bounds was pretty stupid. Even as I was watching live I was thinking wtf is he doing. If that was our secondary they would have hit him way harder.

Here's our first half 3rd down plays:

#1 First drive - Converted on a short pass to LT on 3rd and 4. TD

#2 Third drive - pass to Holmes on 3rd and 8, complete but a yard short. Punt

#3 Fourth Drive - Greene stopped on 3rd and 2. FG.

#4 Fifth Drive - Sanchez intercepted at Jags 40 on 3rd and 15. Better to punt?

#5 Sixth Drive - 3rd and 10 pass completion to Mulligan for 2 yards. Punt

#6 Seventh Drive - LT drops pass in open space on 3rd and 9. FG.

I guess I don't see the ineptitude that you do. Sanchez was an LT drop away from being 4/5 passing on 3rd down in the first half, despite the fact that four of those 3rd down plays were 3rd and 8 or longer - go ahead and bitch about that. IF Holmes and Greene get another yard each, the drives go on. IF LT makes that catch and run the drive goes on. The INT didn't hurt us since he threw downfield and it wasn't in our half. We punted twice, but our defense was playing so well I'd rather see a punt than set Sanchez up to get killed. We got points out of two of the series. We are up 15-3 at the half.

In the second half, we ran LT on 3rd and 19 and punted and then converted a 3rd and 4 on a Sanchez run and Lowery penalty. After that the rout was on and the remainder of our third down plays came with us up 29-3 or 32-3. I don't think any of the 3rd down stats after that are not compelling at all.

I just don't see 3rd down as a serious issue. You say I'm minimizing. I think you're overanalyzing the stat sheet and looking for things to bitch at. Is that enough substance?

I just got home from the game. Awesome time, except for a hiccup in Guest Services placing me in a wheel-chair section that had seats filled already (I had to move over to the very end of the WC section 317, but it was fine. The people whose seats we were in were very nice and chatted throughout the game with my dad and I).

My only gripe was I felt like the majority (key word) of the game, all I was watching was "Run with Greene...Punt...Force a punt/interception.. repeat." Also, the fact that Cumerland/Mulligan were looked at more than Plax and Mason seems alarming to me.

At the end of the day, a win is a win, and we are 2-0 headed to Oakland. I'll take it, however it may come.

you were better off with the passive aggressive comments... are you really going to justify that turning the ball over and punting is a good thing because our defense was playing well? really?

and it doesn't really matter if its third and long or not, if you dont run patters anywhere near the yard marker. and maybe we wouldnt be in so many long situations if our first and second down play calling wasnt so inept.

again, we played flawless in 2 of 3 phases, if thats enough for you to be thrilled i wont argue that. but There are lingering issues, things we continue to do poorly on offense, that wont be as easily overcome vs a good team.

I was at the game today, D played very well. 4 picks could have been 5-6. Wilk looked real good as did wilson.

need to see more from greene on first down. 1 yard gains really ain't cuttin' it.
as much as people bitch and moan about schotty, when we have 2nd and manageable we don't look inept. or if you wanna see it half full, its pretty damn hard to be inept in that situation.

Agreed.. I beginning to wonder if Greene really can be the guy or do we go back to the talent pool next draft for a RB in the early rounds.

Yes exactly, from now on he's just Big Wilk or nothing.
