Jets | Chrebet may land television job Fri, 28 Jul 2006 20:39:54 -0700 Andrew Marchand, of the New York Post, reports SportsNet NY is on the verge of signing retired New York Jets WR Wayne Chrebet for its Jets pre- and post-game coverage this season. "We have had discussions with Chrebet and his representatives, but no deal is finalized yet,'' an SNY spokesman said. The sides are trying to figure out how many weeks the former Jet wide receiver will work. He also could be part of the network's training camp coverage. Good job by SNY.
I love wayne but this is a terrible move and this new partnership w/ SNy loses even more credibility(if that was possible). First we have to listen to that awful host on Jets Nation along w/ 2 homers know nothings in Buttle and Lucas and now a guy who has trouble w/ public speaking is going to be an analyst? He did alot of great things for us on the field but he will never be a success at TV b/c he can't speak.
