I try to make too many thread. Especially not one linking to a Cimini article. But this is pretty good. http://espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/sto...-pull-fourth-quarter-comebacks-very-good-sign
I am glad they won, but I would like to see 4 solid quarters more often from this team. Sure we can have these miracle comebacks in the regular season against decent teams but when we are playing the elite teams in the post season it is pretty unlikely we will get it done unless we put it all together.
While I would not say Dallas is elite they absolutely will be in the playoff mix in the NFC. They have two very good WR's to go along with an absolute beast of a TE. Throw in one of the best pass rushers in the game to go along with a pretty good secondary and they could contend. They played good enough to win last night but sometimes that's not enough in the NFL. I don't think we'll ever get 4 solid quarters out of this team. The closest I've ever seen was the first game of the Ryan era and then again last year against the Pats in the playoffs.
I think Dallas in underrated myself. In addition to their players, I think Garrett is a sharp HC and Rob really good too.
A change of culture. And the fact that this is on ESPN, where it will be ready by many, its going to slowly change that saying to something positive. "Sanchez throws 3 TDs in 10 minutes to pull the jets from behind 28-24. Same Old Jets"
Cimini is just too much of a "sticks his thumb in the air and sees which way the wind is blowing", and then proceeds to write a column that reinforces the conventional wisdom. And yes, I know, that thumb is up his ass before and after he tests the wind with it.
Why hasn't their been a ban on Cimini postings? The guy is a tool, and this article doesn't say anything we didn't know or haven't been saying. Then for some reason that idiot had to bring up the AFC Championship loss to be a dick. Even when he writes positively about the team he sucks at doing it.
"Some might say Tony Romo choked. Well, if that's true, the Jets are like a tongue depressor, because they've induced a lot of gagging over the past year. " This doesn't sound right -.-"
It's slowly starting to change. The fact Cimini is writing an article on it, is showing that among the Jets, they really have changed in the locker room. They have supreme confidence and never let up. Thats so different than any mentality than the Jets have had since the Namath days. Now its starting to seep out of the locker room into the fan base (some are realizing faster) and into the media. With luck, after another stellar year with hopefully more playoff success SOJ as we have known it since the 80's will be dead, and SOJ since 2009 will become the commonplace.
Dallas is a pretty good football team, I don't buy this we didn't show up bullshit. Played hard but so did the Cowboys and they made plays, we just made more by the time the clock was all 0s.
Where did he say we didn't play hard? If you mean we played shitty defense then we did. Ryan said yesterday it was inexcusable.
I agree and I don't think anyone is giving Dallas enough credit. That was one hell of a football team we faced. Rex's brother threw everything but the kitchen sink at Sanchez and he didn't quit. If that had been Pennigton, we would have been in Chinese Firedrill Mode all night. You could say the Jets won the game because Romo came to our rescue (and this is so), but the SOJ would have found a way to rescue Romo and help him win. Bottom line is, this was a total team effort and a good way to open the season.
I agree with this! Rob Ryan will make the Dallas D a force this year. We saw the beginnings of that on Sunday. Just wait until he gets his corners back.
