But we have TJ Conley. Westhoff likes him so much he brought him back 3 years in a row for a tryout.
Mike looks like a greasy used car salesman. Which is why I don't trust him. The last two years a ton of questionable moves. Giving up all that for Sanchez, who has still yet to prove he can play at a consistent high level in the regular season. All the old aging vets. JT, Mason, Plax, etc. With that said. We have a ton of talented, young core pieces that will negate that.......hopefully.
Al Dorrow? And by the way, remind me again what we gave up for Sanchez...oh right an extra draft pick and three scrubs who couldn't even hang on with Cleveland.
I think every team in the league has similar problems. I believe there is a master plan to what the FO is doing and I dont think stacking our roster with has beens is the right move
All of what? Kenyon Coleman sucks Brett Ratliff sucks Abram Elam sucks We swapped firsts and gave Cleveland a second rounder. That was a hell of a trade for the New York Jets.
Derrick Mason total has been. (61 catches for 802 yards last year, which is more catches than Braylon, more yards than Holmes, and twice the production of Jerrico in the slot last year). Burress total has been. (Because he looks like he's lost a lot from what we've seen so far. And he is 34, so clearly he is terrible). LT total has been. (Third down pass blocker with limited role...who would have had a thousand yard season last year if Rex hadn't sat him against Buffalo week 17 and had 1,282 yards from scrimmage). Don't know where all the weak ass Mike T. hate came from the last week but it's not holding water.
Cleveland traded around a bunch that year, but none of the players they picked have come close to the production sanchez has had iirc.
And Westhoff is the Best ST Coach in the league. I'd rather trust him then anyone on this board for sure
You answered your own question. After Greene, Powell is there. Ronnie can take a hike. Next? That Gurode that couldn't make the team with Cowgirls? Remember, he wants to start somewhere. What chance do you think Jets have in signing him? Or are you delusional? Neil Rackers? The choker who let the Bears off the hook? Are you smoking something? As for the punter, I agree that your concern is a legitimate.
HHHmmmmmmmmm I must be a genius. No im just a typical Jet fan that hopes for the best but expects the worst.
Gonna ignore newcomer's self-aggrandizing and point out this post. Didn't see it at the time, but I've been concerned about o-line depth since the draft because of what I highlighted above. Mind you, Mangold should be back, which will be a lifesaver, but our team (and fans) have gotten spoiled by the health of our offensive line. It was only a matter of time before that luck ran out. The above quoted post is good for discssion. Newcomer's, not so much.
You were right about the o-line, that's it. Folk and Conley have more more than fine. Folk has not missed a kick all season. Surely you can't insist you are right about needing to sign Ronnie Brown. We have enough problems on offense, we don't need a retarded running back who decides to throw forward passes while being tackled. We're more than fine at the RB position.. Ronnie Brown sucks. The problem has been the o-line, but I firmly believe the run game will get going eventually with a healthy Mangold.
Folk has done everything he has been asked to do especially big game winning FG agasint Dallas. OLine is devasted. Caleb Schlauderaff or Colin Baxter instead of Andre Gurode. Please. The guy was a Pro Bowler for 5 years and signed for 1.5M. Running game is no existant. Still waiting for Greene to make his first cutback against the grain. Someone on board suggested that Powell was a beast. He may be if he was ever good enough to be activated. You can't honestly tell me that you think Conley is a good NFL punter. C'Mon Man!
