You don't need anything after Austin and Bryant but if you think they do then they have Witten who is as much a receiver as anyone.
We dont destroy anyone. I think too many of us are under estimating this team big time. They dont have anything after Dez and Austin? Witten? And isnt Dez and Austin enough to deal with anyway? Their O-line looks real vulnerable so that is comforting but Im not going into this game thinking its gonna be easy. Thats crazy
Because you shouldn't be allowed in the AFC if you're 35 million dollars under the cap. But yeah, you're right, just an oversight. -X-
Similar arguments can be used against us.... 1)We have nothing after Holems at wideout. Plax is two years away from football and Mason is what? 40? all this after a shortened offseason to learn the offense. 2) We have a RT thats only started 2 games in the NFL and the health of Moore can be questioned. 3). We have a starting RB thats never exceeded 800 yards in a season thats backed up by an aging vet who ran out of gas lat year and two unproven players. 4) Our QB could take advantage of the secondary if he could figure out how to complete 50% of his passes. 5) One of our biggest advantages, starting feild position from excelent special teams play, was outlaw by the NFL in the offseason by moving the kickoff to the 35. with near 70% of preseason kicks going for touchbacks this hurts us. .... see, you can twist things about anyway you want if you feel like underestimating an opponent. This should be a tough game from two talented clubs with pressure heavy D's.
Johnny D/Harpua, Thats exactly why I was trying to say that stuff, we do not truly destroy anyone. Granted the Jets should kill Dallas this weekend but it probably wont happen. Dallas has a very talented team and shouldnt be taken lightly.
Well with the injuries, Cowboys fans are shitting the bed. All from three pages of one thread in http://cowboyszone.com/forums/ And there are a lot more to choose from... SOCF?
Its the first game of the year. Its not like our starters are tired. You do make a good point though, but I would like to see our starters get most of the action and get a good rhythm going for the first quarter of the season before facing Pats and Chargers. My point was, Cowboys are an average team this year. They would have been lucky to win 8 games this yr, but now with all the injuries to their already weak secondary, and their extremely inexperienced OL, I doubt they win anywhere close to 6 games. Romo has a few good options in Miles, Dez, and Witten along with Felix, but his OL is shit and he'll get beat up again just like last year, if not worse. Its time cowboys start rebuilding for the future. Thats what you do when u suck and are in salary cap hell.
Newman and Bennett have been assumed to be out for this game a while. And a backup tight end isn't a starter.
They have some great weapons on the offensive side. Problem is, they have no one to pass block. Games are won in the trenches and ideally, this Cowboys team should get crushed by at least two scores. I live in Dallas and hear about them all the time. Some 'experts' are so clueless, they think the Cowboys will surprise everyone and reach SB. I say they go 6-10 or 7-9 depending on how their rookies perform.
