I know many people bring a TV and Antenna to watch games at the stadium while they tailgate. Im looking to do the same thing this year, especially with a number of prime time games. What does everyone use? How is the quality? And what do I need to get, I have a 2 year old sony flatscreen HD TV I will bring along.
A friend of mine hooked up the TV to a marine battery. It can keep his TV going for about 6 hours. He had a 50 inch plasma. Pretty much any antenna will be good to pick up HD broadcasts.

You don't need a satellite dish in the parking lot. A cheap indoor antenna will work because the Olands is so close to the TV transmitters. With the new digital broadcast TV there are a bunch of unknown subchannels that you can get. Looking for sports on Sunday morning, you will find Jesus in every language on them before landing on the Spanish Deportes highlights with the hot girls announcing.
Just make sure the TV has a built-in digital tuner -- i have an older set and need to bring along the external digital converter box -- what a pain that is!
Can use an adapter from car, but will need to keep engine running. I also have a "power dome" external battery power pack that is good for about 6 hours. Costs about $100 and will run TV and other appliances.
Most power inverters that you hook up to the car have an automatic shut off so you dont run the battery down to the point you cant start the vehicle. usually shuts off at 11.2 volts, you can watch tv for a good amount of time and then just turn the car on for a few minutes and shut it off again.
My friend has a verizon tablet and he can get CBS, FOX, ESPN and the Red Zone channel. We are goona hook up external speakers and with 4G we get the games without a generator or TV equipment. Ahhh, technology.
