10 person draft, I had 7th pick. Quarterbacks -Matt Schaub -Matthew Stafford Runningbacks -Rashard Mendenhall -Felix Jones -CJ Spiller -Danny Woodhead -Mike Tolbert Wide Receivers -Roddy White -Anquan Boldin -Santana Moss Tight Ends -Antonio Gates -Dustin Keller Defense -New York Jets -Detroit Lions Kicker -Josh Brown ------ Draft Order 1) Rashard Mendenhall 2) Roddy White 3) Antonio Gates 4) Matt Schaub 5) Felix Jones 6) Anquan Boldin 7) Santana Moss 8) CJ Spiller 9) Matthew Stafford 10) Dustin Keller 11) NYJ Def 12) Danny Woodhead 13) Mike Tolbert 14) Detroit def 15) Josh Brown Edit: I'm not too sold on Moss and I regret picking him and am thinking about dropping him for a potential WR sleeper. Possibly Jordy Nelson, Lance Moore or even Julio Jones. The issue with Jones though is that I already have Roddy White. Thoughts?
Drop the Lions and get a WR. Unless the Jets are on a bye, there is no reason to have two Ds on your roster.
Meachem comes to mind, mike thomas, jacoby ford. Also ditch Woodhead, in a league this shallow you'll never start him (Tolbert will be more productive and consistent) and pick up a WR or RB.
Since I am not in your league, I have no idea who is on your FA list, but I'd see if Lee Evans, Jordan Shipley, Andre Caldwell, Legedu Naanee, Arrelious Benn, Donnie Avery, Mike Sims-Walker, or Brandon Gibson are available.
Here's mine QB's: Phillip Rivers Matt Stafford RB's: Adrian Peterson Maurice Jones Drew Reggie Bush and Ronnie Brown (Benched) WR's: Jeremy Maclin Santonio Holmes Santana Moss Mike Thomas Jacobi Ford (BN) Steve Smith (PHI) (BN) TE's: Jermichael Finely Jared Cook I just got offered Dwayne Bowe, Andre Johnson and Matt Schaub for Adrian Peterson what do I do?
Also in a 4 member league for money and this is who I have starting QB's: Matt Ryan Matt Schaub Mark Sanchez RB's: Adrian Peterson Michael Turner Shonn Greene Darren McFadden Knowshon Moreno WR's : Andre Johnson Vincent Jackson Greg Jennings Brandon Lloyd Mike Williams (TB) Santonio Holmes TE's Owen Daniels K Nate Kaeding Team Defense NYJ Defense (2 players) Lamar Woodley Darelle Revis Bench: Josh Freeman Matt Cassel David Garrard Austin Collie Fred Jackson Tim Hightower Marshawn Lynch Mike Sims-Walker Malcolm Floyd
I wouldn't do it. Schaub is useless for you since you have Phillip Rivers. Andre Johnson plus a great RB and maybe another good rb/wr and I'd do it.
Alright so I added to my WR depth. Got rid of Woodhead to unlock the handcuffs only defense and the lions defense and picked up sleepers Danario Alexander and Jordan Shipley. Obviously with what I gave up, it's a low risk-high reward situation. I do want to ship out Santana Moss though and am thinking about trading him for another sleeper in Jordy Nelson. I'm already sold on my WR starters and the flex includes QB which Stafford has filled. If he gets hurt that position is saved for a RB. So for now I'm taking a gamble with receivers.
That'd be a good trade. AP's numbers might be down this year with the state of the Vikings franchise. Granted, he'll put up numbers.. just don't think he'll explode this year.
How´s your Scoring System on D? As we all know, Revis is God in Real Life, but in Fantasy Football, he´s pretty much useless.
That is an awful trade. Nelson is the 4th WR, plus they have a top TE. keep Santana his numbers will be pretty good. Keep him for the steadiness of his production and keep an eye for breakouts on your WW. If anyone looks really good the first week or two dump Danario or Shipley for them.
Agreed. Keep Moss. If anyone wanted him, then they would have picked him in the draft (this is assuming that Nelson went before Moss in your draft, else you would have picked Nelson instead of regreting picking Moss, right?). You could trade him, but you need a better trade than Nelson so it is better to wait. If he has a good Week 1 and 2, then sell high. If he is mediocre, then you'll be stuck with him, but the waiver wire is likely to have a nice WR available at some point. Just wait it out.
Never a bad thing to have a backup QB most teams would be starting. It allows you to play matchups and you have a plan B if Rivers gets hurt or turns into Ryan Leaf. Hell, I think I might consider taking Bowe and Johnson for Peterson, but since he offered Schaub, see if he would switch Schaub for a RB. Fitz, Burress, and Bradshaw is not the same value, because Andre Johnson is the best WR in the league. Until Kolb proves something, Fitzgerald is not in his league fantasy-wise.
A good backup quarterback is useless to me. I only have Romo on my roster and I'm about to trade him for Jahvid Best. Mark Sanchez is on waivers so I'll pick him up as my starter temporarily and see if I can swing one of my backup RB or WR for a starter-calibre quarterback. I don't understand the point of having 2 QB that are taken in the first 6 rounds when you could have had a starting RB/WR/TE instead of a dude collecting points on the bench.
But he didn't take him in the first 6 rounds. In the trade, Schaub would be almost free. No sense in turning it down if the guy can't part with a RB. In the draft, you need to get starters first (except D and K). So obviously, it isn't smart to take two QBs in the first six rounds unless you are planning to trade one. For instance, I had the 8th pick in a 12 team draft and TD passes were 6pts and completions were 1pt. I took Tom Brady in the first and Peyton Manning in the second with plans to trade one for a full bounty after Week 2. Too bad this was 2008 and Brady went out for the season in Week 1. I still finished 3rd.
Fitzgerald had 90 or 100 (I forget) receptions with John Skelton as his QB with Kolb I can't expect that to go down. Also I took Revis cause it was Defensive back and LB its random but I went with the obvious choice.
I just don't respect QBs in fantasy, especially early. Elite RB win championships. I'd much rather have Mark Sanchez starting for me and sacrifice 5 points a game in exchange for a RB1 than have Phillip Rivers, Matt Schaub on the bench, and a guy like Tim Hightower as my flex. I won my fantasy league last year with Jon Kitna spot-starting over Schaub because Schaub was just too damn inconsistent. Adrian Peterson and LeSean McCoy were 10x more valuable to me than any quarterback in the league.. except for Mike Vick with some of those crazy games he had.
