http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/44217709/ns/sports-nfl/ Don't mnind te spelling...I'm fairly wasted but this story needed to be passed on.
"Harrell said police took a man in a Raiders jersey off a party bus before it left the stadium and were calling him a suspect."
And now, the two teams will never meet. LOL! Way to help destroy a franchise morons. Scare opposing teams from coming to your stadium with fan violence. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/08/22/report-49ers-raiders-will-no-longer-meet-in-preseason/ Report: 49ers, Raiders will no longer meet in preseason Posted by Michael David Smith on August 22, 2011, 1:53 PM EDT The fan-on-fan violence that marred Saturday’s game between the Raiders and 49ers will result in the NFL to stop scheduling the teams to play each other in the preseason. Tim Kawakami of the San Jose Mercury-News reports that the 49ers and Raiders will end their annual exhibition game. The local police strongly support ending the preseason rivalry, Kawakami reports. It’s a shame that the actions of a handful of fans are going to end an annual preseason game that tens of thousands of fans have attended without causing any trouble, but if the local police think Raiders and 49ers fans can’t be controlled around each other, then canceling the annual tradition of having them play each other is probably the right move. Of course, the Raiders and 49ers will still meet every four years in the regular season. We can only hope that in 2014, when the 49ers are slated to visit the Black Hole, Saturday night’s ugly scene won’t be repeated.
Lots of thug stuff happening in the Bay Area. They have pretty good tape of the brawl. All those guys should be arrested.
Part of the issue is that as season ticket owners your forced to buy these shitty preseason games and in most cases the person selling the tickets has no idea who the fuck is buying them. Throw in that the tickets are so severly discounted that you probably have more money in the couch then what they sold for. This enables the Non Fans who are just looking to start trouble easy access to do so. Now granted while fights happen in every stadium in the NFL during the regular season obviously this takes it to a whole new level. I know when I had my Charger tickets that generally the people who bought my tickets for the Preseason were never guys that would have the $$$ to buy them for the regular season games. Maybe it's different in San Fran when these two play but my guess is the people arrested were not season ticket holders. I would avoid preseason games for this specific reason. There were times that I sold my tickets for 15-20 bucks and in the regular season even a crappy team would sell for at least $25 dollars more then face. My tickets were about $100 bucks a game a seat and we had 4 seats and would never break them up. 9 times out of 10 we were sending them to KC, Denver, Pittsburgh, DC or whatever city for whoever they were playing. Maybe only when they played the Cowboys or another big name team did we send them to California. I remember the year the Pats Ko'd us out of the playoffs in Mangini's 1st year we sold those Pat/Charger tix for enough to almost pay for our tix the next season.
i have a question. what happens if you sell your tix online to lets say " tauno" . he likes to drink and raise hell. he gets kicked out of the game for throwing snow balls at the vistors side lines. what happens to you season tix.
Damn, couple that with the Giants fan who got beaten into a coma at a Dodgers game earlier this year.... California knows how to party.
That is correct, obviously I'm not a Charger fan so I never really concerned myself and neither were the 3 other guys that went in with me. One was a Raider fan, the other a Packer fan and the other a Bear fan. It was my name on the tickets so had so if we ever encountered that one of the other guys would have used their name.
