This move is not a big one for the Pats. It's taking a flyer on a guy at a position where they aren't deep at. He adds value as a good special teams player, so that may be where he would find some action.
Yeah, maybe they won't have send Woodhead to get crushed on punt coverage anymore. Especially in pre season games late in the 4th quarter when they are up by 2 TD's.

Tough to say I take this is a shot in the arm on paper. This says we have such a surplus of talent at certain positions that Ex players are being picked up by our rivals.
