You think Luck could be another Locker??? Luck is the one most promising QB prospects entering 2012's draft in over a decade.
If the 49ers are seriously considering Alex Smith to start any important downs for 2011, draft position would be revealed as a key priority in the early stages. Purposeful bad judgment is a sacrifice made mainly for potential and higher than proportionate returns. They would in this reality pay a handsome random move 12-15 spots in round one to court the prophesied West Coast football torchbearer. But only if he does not have a significant and tragically timed injury.
The Hawks are starting to collect some decent players, granted they have no QB but they play in the JV League out there in the NFC West
i think cleveland will be too good to have a top 3 or 4 pick but ill see your Buffalo and Washington and raise you San Fran then again their division sucks so bad they can rack up some quick wins.
NO QB is a big issue. I'm not a Pete Carroll in the NFL fan. Seahawks will be lucky to get 6 wins, I expect St Louis to win the division.
You act as if Locker is a bust or a bad player...who knows what he will do at the NFL level. I personally think he can be successful in the NFL but I stand in the minority on this board with that thought. But I have been more impressed with Luck in the games I have seen than Locker.
He was the 2nd best QB prospect and if you love a QB so much, you go and take him. I prefer Locker to Gabbert and Ponder but that's just my take. Alot of teams like the Vikings and Skins wanted Locker to slide a bit more to grab him so he had quite a bit of interest around the league.
I honestly think it will be carolina again; they may not win a single division game whereas I see the bills at least edging one out against miami. But it would not surprise me if cincy got him either.
I voted the Chiefs, they've got some O-line issues, what I think projects to be a rough schedule. They could honestly fall between 2-14 and 6-10 for the season from what the fans here in KC are thinking and from what I see. They'll need some breaks to get to 6-10 and Cassel really hasn't been that great...I could see the Chiefs even if they don't have the #1 pick possibly trading up to take him.
KC did have a decent season last season and I see a drop off in their game, but not to the point of being in competition for Luck. Cincinnati's offense is just awful and I expect Marvin Lewis to lose control of the team by midseason. Some may disagree, IMO, Cincy is going to win 2 games, maybe 3 at best. I can't believe the OP left Cincy out of his poll. Cincy, Seattle, Washington & Buffalo are going to be the 4 worst teams in the NFL.
There's a better chance of the Dolphins having the number 1 pick than the Bills this year. Like the Panthers last year, the Dolphins have a head coach that's on his way out. The Bills at least have continuity on their side. Although Ryan Fitzpatrick isn't ideal, no one's questioning him in Buffalo.
Deep regret. I only chose teams that are absolutely going to need a new QB next offseason. I didn't include the Bengals because of Andy Dalton (big mistake). Also, I think the Dolphins are going to have a worse record than the Bills. Just my prediction.
