    Smith has had injury issues and is coming off surgery. couldnt have been that large of a contract


    i also think the eagles owner is a Madden fan and was unsatisfied with his online record last yr-

    He isn't a lock to come back from surgery, microfracture has crappy odds as far as the probability of fixing a problem goes.

    I do think this is a good calculated risk for them, if he comes back relatively healthy he will be a great signing

    they're gonna run a 5-1-5 defense and 4 wideout sets as the base formation

    Nobody else wanted him obviously.

    you guys get too excited about signings. an injured player who has been available since the get-go gets signed well after the free agent frenzy has ended and people are acting like it is some big-priced signing.

    My buddy is an eagles fan and he is pissed at this signing. He wants the eagles to take care of Jackson who is under paid. Is Smith even going to be ready to play this year?

    Do you think this opens up the possibility for Jerricho Cotchery to end up with the giants?? I know he is a similar reciever to Hakeem Nicks, but I think with the uncertainty of their recieving core he could be productive.

    I am excited to see if Victor Cruz makes an impact this year, he had flashes of brillance in the preseason last year before he suffered a season ending injury. Could be another clowney but who knows.

    Nicks, Cotchery, and Cruz in the Slot with Bradshaw coming out of the backfield....with Eli slinging the rock.
