We did this last year, and it seemed to work out very nicely. If you are going to Training Camp on certain dates and would like to meet others as well, POST HERE as Camp progresses, and see if you can find a match with a poster. After that, you may proceed with PMs and other arrangements as necessary. Below, I have a link to the Training Camp Schedule provided via the Jets web site.

    Enjoy!!

  2. I will be there August 1st through 3rd and would love to meet a few posters to talk jets w/ during the practice and maybe a few beers afterwards.

Hell no! The last time I ran into you at a game you put your hand on my leg and told me that the "really" fun stuff happened under the bleachers.

Keep to yourself you sick, sick man!

  4. You know you liked it...and look at all the toys and ice cream you got out of it

Hey in all seriousness, I'll be heading out there once or twice, and will post in advance- would be cool to meet some of the gang, especially since it seems like I will miss the big meeting in TC.

I'm going to show up just to kick your ass, then I'll go home and resume preparation for my son's party.

I was thinking of taking my two boys to the sunday 8:45 practice. This will be my first practice ever.

Anyone have any tips for me and my boys?

Bring something to drink. They sell water, but it's pricey. There are two fields. One in front of the bleachers, the other with no seating closer to the entrance road. Arrive early, and look to see which field has the portable scaffolds, where the cameras will be set up. That will tell you which field the 7 on 7's and full squad practices will be. usually, the field with no seating gets more work, so if you don't get a spot at the fence, it will be hard for the kids to see. At least most of that area is shaded by trees. It's well worth the effort, and it's free to boot. The kids will love it.

Actually I was only pulling his leg about showing up- it's my son's first birthday party on Sunday- we've got 80 people coming to the house- party in the backyard, bouncer and pony rides in the court- needless to say I'll be tied up.

But if the TGG Bash crew is planning for any other weekends please let me know.

I'm going on Fiday. I just can't wait any longer, even though it will probably be mobbed. If anyone wants to hook up, let me know.

If you decide to park in the bleachers, you can still see the other field, but bring binoculars. Again, an early arrival is best, as you can get seats at the end of the bleachers that offer a good view of both fields. Also, if you get there early, a lawn chair would work if you set up at the fence on the field that has no seating. I like the 40 yard line on that field, further from the entrance driveway. They seem to prefer that end of the field for red zone drills, but things may change with a new CS. You'll have to sit almost on top of the fence if you do that, some people will get a little pushy. My stategy is to push back, but with kids....
