I will never forget the image of Braylon Edwards dragging two Patriot defenders into the endzone last year, that's some serious heart that will be missed this season.

I don't blame Nnamdi for this. I blame Tannenbaum for putting his eggs in one basket and not having a backup plan.

Meanwhile Belichek gets Ochocinco and Haynesworth. Believe me those two will be motivated to play well.

So motivated that Haynesworth doesn't pass his physical.

This whole situation is dumb. There was never any need for Aso to truly be here, honestly, we have been solid on D ever since Rex walked his ass through the door. Our offense has been the inconsistent problem.

Why would you not make Bray and Holmes 1a - 1b priority?

Now we are likely to over pay for, Cro. Which is a huge mistake! You do not pay that much to someone who has all the tools in the world to be a game changer, but is so inconsistent and plays pussy ball at the LOS.

    This whole situation is fucked.

Naw, Mr.T fell asleep at the wheel. He forgot about the 48hr rule, if you can't sign a player in 48hrs, fuck'em!! They're shopping your contract! Move forward with Plan "B" but, it seems like Mr. T didn't have a Plan "B" other than restructuring contracts. Will know more tonight. Camp starts tomorrow but we got missing pieces. Damn!!

Agreed. That play itself should have been on a loop in Florham Park on the big screens. I don't understand why Tanny is going to let a big strong target - a guy who dropped like two balls all last year, and made money catches for us in the Texans and Colts playoff game - go.

I insist... the only way the whole Braylon situation makes sense, is if he never was an option.

Imo, it's not the money, it's not the talent, it's not the cap space, it's not that we pissed him, it's not Tanny, it's not Rex, it's not Edwards...
His DUI and the whole media attention pissed off Woody and at that moment he decided that Edwards will be out no matter what at the end of the season.

Braylon is in Jets ignored list.

Well... I certainly wanted Braylon Edwards back, but then again, I'm not Rex Ryan.

Judging by the complete and total lack of communication between the Jets FO and BE, I'm guessing the organization decided Braylon wasn't welcome back at any price. It's not like Mike T. to not ask, you know? "Hey will you play for a million bucks? No? OK, good luck to you."

I keep thinking about all of Rex's comments about Kerry Rhodes. Really, the only difference between Kerry Rhodes and Braylon Edwards is that Braylon got a DWI. I think Rex saw Kerry in Braylon (no homo), and decided he wasn't a Jet.

    Just speculation, of course.

A little surprised by this, hope we could have gotten edwards back but it is what it is. Let's get a wide out.

this is getting worse by the day...

I cant see how the roster will be better than last year if we lose Braylon, Cro, and Pool and only add 2 rookies on the DL

he must be approaching the league record for most money made per failed physical once you average it out

Apparently this might truly be a money thing:

Braylon was spotty receivers at times but this guy came up big during clutch moments.

If it had to be Holmes or Edwards then i think we made right choice but damn aso

We should have signed our own and then got a damn snack. The love for Aso is going to cost this team a playoff berth. Offense and defense both take a step back and who will return kickoffs? We won enough games late last year, this year its likely we wont be so fortunate.

People need to relax. Lots of teams are in a cap mess right now and more players are gonna get released so there is no reason to spend a ton of money right now. Tanny is in decent shape capwise compared to alot of teams. Ask Steeler and Raven fans how their off season is going after releasing a bunch of guys.

Lets not go overboard before a game is even played cost us a playoff spot? Hardly you have a chance to upgrade you do it. We all thought getting 2 out of three players between cro/BE and Holmes would have been great and that is what is going to happen with money left over for a safety or a another Wide receiver
    Be happy
