K to a degree you are correct. However............

The price the Jets org. and their fans are going to have to pay for Rex is this Nmandi thing. This entire Nmandi thing had Rx's hand in it.

Rex has done nothing in 2 years that would convince me he cant take another group deep into the playoffs. Obviously, at present this teams roster is weaker than it was this time last year.

I will take a little frustration over this Nmandi nonsense after what we had 10 years prior, I will take this anyday of the week.

That said Strickland was an excellent role player for the Jets when he was here. Rex used him to perfection imho. Coleman is not nearly as good as Strickland, so this is an upgrade over him at least.

Also I was reading that Thurman was pissed over losing Coleman, maybe this Strickland move was one to make him happier as well..........

And that CB better be Cro or else this D has not only taken a step backwards at that position but we're still lacking what killed us last season which is A PASS RUSH!

Our pass defense was better with sheppard and Strickland than it was with cro. If we get him great if not no big deal. We need another corner but it doesn't need to be cro.

does Strickland mean no A-Cro? hope not
DS is good but Cro is better

I would rather get Donald and Braylon than Cro and no Braylon though...

I Like this move. Strick was very good for us in 09 but he was injured so much, hopefully he plays more this season.

One is a nickel or a dime corner back, one used to be a #1 CB. You don't compare chris carr to darrelle revis do you?

    I was analyzing the situation

    No Cro
    No Nnamdi

and i prefer Strickland to Wilson

So in my mind if this is our CB crew strickland would be the 2 and wilson the nickel

stickland is not as good as last years 2 - Cro

Yes Strickland is USUALLY a nickel back but that doesnt mean he won't play the 2 if we can't find a legit replacement for Cro and Wilson doesnt step up to the plate

are you guys serious? strickland is not that important for us, and he will not lead us to a super bowl. I think we will sign cro even though it doesnt look like it i think it could happen. or we trade a late draft pick for asante samuel, they want a second rounder but i think we could get him for cheaper, there is no way the eagles can keep him aso and drc. and resign desean jackson ( negotiate contract). and wilson will progress behind revis and who ever we get and when hes ready he will be a really good corner. aso would have been nice to get but 12 million we can get wr and cb and maybe someone else
