dude that is a bad article. no real insight and just one idiots pov. The jets 2 x have been to the championship game what did the eagles do in that span? Who is closer. I am noit saying adding Aso would not have helped but no instead of one player you are adding 2 to 3 players that will have a bigger impact. Besides now when playing the eagles you just pick on the poor linebackers and run underneath routes. Unless Aso plays linebacker, and saftey at the same time the eagles are further then the jets from winning
Guy comes across as a fool. Would it have been nice to get Aso? Sure but was he a huge need no. If they re-sign Cro they will be just fine. I have a ton of faith in our gm to make this up. Look what he did last year. Nobody wanted Holmes and he got him for a late pick and the guy won a couple games for them. Have faith!
doesn't sound like a credible journalist. surprised too coming from a dependable site. bush league hater as usual.
There are some great comments after the article this one is my favorite. k-dawg2469: Ahhhhh, I LOVE it. Just as Asomugha was able to do, Freeman turned the Jests own recipe against them. They deserve everything they got. They are so damn self absorbed, they are starting to reflect their own fanbase. Get used to it Jest fans. You had the final piece of the puzzle slip through your hands.....well actually,. lets recap. You did re-sign Santonio. Big deal. Same piece you had last year, and now its a MAJOR cap hit. You lost Crayon, and although, he's not a great receiver, he's better than anything else you have. You now have gaping holes on both your O-line, and D-line, and zero depth on either. You lost Brad Smith, who was a VERY key ingredient last year. You have nobody behind Snatcho..and thats never good. You now have IBM (Illegitimate Baby Maker) questioning exactly how much you want him on the team, and that is deserving. The entire team has cut every throat possible, for that one eluding chance at something special. Too bad you have an ignorant, gloating maladroit for a coach who is quickly imploding any chance you actually had of being a contender. The rest of the NFL is laughing directly at the JESTs ......again..........
Well, Aso wanted Philly. He did exactly what we expected him to do. He went to a team for less money than he could have had from Houston. He went there because he felt it was his best chance to win a ring. The problem is, we all thought it would the Jets who gave him those opportunities. In actuality, it was always Philly.
The only people who think the Jets completely failed in this endeavor are those who actually bought the media hype and considered this realistic. Regardless of what the media was saying (who, BTW, seemed to have changed the "Nnamdi front-runner team" every other hour on twitter), landing Nnamdi was always a stretch - from the beginning all the way until 6:whatever PM. I applaud my team for being aggressive year in and year out during the offseason. Considering how many huge deals Tanny has made for this organization, him not landing Nnamdi simply because we didn't have the cap space (i.e. he's loaded this team with so much talent already, that we actually have players with pricey contracts) doesn't bother me one bit. I love what the FO tried to do here, and I see very little downside to not getting him.
Look...everyone should be used to the fact for the past 2 plus years everyone in the league fucking hates us. Skip Dickless was saying the other day that Aso wouldnt do that much for us. It really wouldnt improve us much. Guarn - motherfuckin - tee when hes on Monday he will be blowing Aso, the Eagles, and that fat fuck Reid. Same shit with Hanesworthless...if we signed him "Rex signed another bad boy...what are the Jets thinking??!!" Pats signed him "BELICHECK IS A FUCKING GENIUS!!" Fuck Skip, fuck the Pats, fuck the writers. We've been to two AFCCG in two years...everyone can keep sucking are ass as they line up behind us.
In 8 seasons, Vick has only played in every game once. He had a really good year last season, but the eagles are now 1 hit away from starting VY. Enjoy going 9-7 Aso.
he may not have destroyed our super bowl chances, but he did have the front office holding out for him to the point where we couldn't resign our free agents and most of the quality free agents were already gone. he definitely had a hand in fucking our whole offseason up though.
