it depends on how his market develops

jets arent gonna give him santonio money but they could work something out if his market is weak

For the Jet fans who consider Randy Moss to be over and done with, I guess you all forgot how he burnt the Jets defense for two TD's last season. Moss put up 6 catches, 119 yards and 2 TD's against our defense last season. He's far from washed up.

The man isn't done, he was in a bad situation last year, but just go back and look at 2009 where Moss put up 83 catches, 1,264 yards with 13 TD's.

He's also 4 years younger than Terrell Owens.

I think the difference with Chad is that he has not had any playoff success in the NFL, and I think he wants that. If you got him off Cincy and onto a contender, I think he has another good year or two left in him.

I do like James Jones though. He has a solid skill set, although he drops a ton of balls. But, if we can get him for not too much money, I like the idea.

James Jones had at least 3 different chances to lock up the Superbowl and dropped the ball every single time

If we end up getting Aso, I would be OK with Moss instead of Braylon. I think Moss still has a year or two left in his tank

Exactly. I see no other reason on why the Jets wouldn't be going after Braylon Edwards, unless it means passing up on Braylon for Aso. If we sign Aso, anything at WR would be an added bonus with guys such as Moss or Burress to help take the top off the defense.

You have to admit that Moss and Santonio have very complementary games. One stretches the defense allowing the other to catch quick slants for big gains and vice versa.

I think the comedy of having a Santonio and a Moss on our team again would be worth it.

I've said it before, I'll say it again:

Unmotivated Randy Moss = Slouch, locker room cancer
    Motivated Randy Moss = Beast

I don't care if he praised Belicheat and co after he was traded away, you KNOW he wants to stick it to them. Especially since they aren't offering him a contract now.

I'd be all for bringing in Randy Moss if the price is reasonable.

Exactly. and besides, is there ANY player that has yet to not play his ass off for Rex? If there's anyone who could motivate Moss and give him a kick in the ass, it's that dude.

I really wish edwards would mean what he is saying about staying with the jets and how he wishes he was a jet!!

He should take a pay cut and let them sign ASO and we are amazing for the next 5 years!! Like why play for a shitty team and have all of this money. He hated the browns!! Why would he want to go through that again??

They need to find a way to keep him and get aso!

Because big money is hard to pass up, simple as that. If somebody offers Braylon 10 million more over the life of his contract than the Jets do that'll be near impossible for him to turn down.

    Pay CUT?

Hell, I wouldn't take a pay cut so why should he? I'm certainly in favor of him not taking the absolute highest offer to remain a Jet, but it's unrealistic and unfair to suggest a pay cut. Come on now.

He's got a shot at free agency, so let's see, let's suggest he take that opportunity to earn less than he's made the past few years just to please all the crazy Jets fans...

I forget where I read it, but it was around the time of Jets west, Braylon said that he would accept a paycut to remain part of the team.

Actually at the time he said he would take a paycut so that the team could resign other players as well.

Thats why i dont get why the Jets dont seem to hot on Braylon. I havent been following to closely but thats the vibe im getting.

Id love to have Aso on this team, but in my opinion our D would do just fine signing a servicable and affordable veteran/Kyle Wilson for the other side of the field and Rex will make it work. We had a No. 1 defense before Cromartie came here. Id rather see them spend the money on the continuity of the offense and the progression of Mark Sanchez.

Keep Edwards in the Green and White.

Agreed. I don't think he helps you. In fact, he might bring some negative energy to the locker room.

It didn't fly there, he got fired and deactivated. Randy Moss is not going to change his shit for anybody. He wouldn't change it for Belichick and Brady, he's not going to change it for Sanchez and Rex, he'll just get cut quicker.

that maybe why we haven't hard anything about Edwards, because he knows he will get an offer after Holmes and the DB position is sealed up. we also haven't heard that other teams are making him offers, so it is possible he is patiently waiting for the Jets offer before he pursues any other deal.
