Paper also said Herm Edwards scheduled 13 two a day practices, while the tough as nails Mangini has scheduled 7... so much for Club Med and BBQ's.

I think a Mangini practice is going to last longer than a Edwards 2 practices combined.

IMO two a days are a good way to get your players tired or injured. To practice hard in the morning then take a break and come back and practice hard again is very difficult on the body. One long practice session gives players more time in their day to study the playbook and learn the language and playcalling.

Yes, but what the paper did not tell you is that the first practice is going to be Double-dutch Jump Roping and the second will be Duck-Duck-Goose.

Sorry TJ... I tried but the article won't let me copy in order to paste. First time I ever ran into that. Probably has something to do with proprietary rights and being today's paper. Maybe it can be copied and pasted tomorrow.

I was at 3 or 4 Two-A-Days last summer. Were you? Just wondering, because I didn't see you there.

Anyway, had you been there, you'd know what transpired there. I won't bore you with my evaluation of Camp Marshmallow last year and I can already tell from your response that there's some other agenda going on here and therefore rendering my opinion is propbably a total waste of time.

So just for now, all you need to know is that Dave Hutchinson of the Ledger is a pretty well-respected sports writer who's been to many TC's in his career. Believe me, when he says Herm's camp was Club Med, he knows what he's talking about.

I'm anxious to compare the two Training Camps and see for myself. Before you criticize Mangini for scheduling 7 Two-A-Days to Herm's 13, don't you think you owe it to yourself to go to a couple and see what they're like for yourself before shooting your mouth off?

227, don't waste keystrokes on jensen.... this guy's act has been around forever, and he only gets more obnoxious as time goes by. In comparison, he makes CJ69 look like Fireman Ed.

Hey, 227, looks like I'm going on Friday.... any chance you can make it? Might not be the best choice for you, the first day, but I'd thought I'd ask. Looking at the TC schedule, are you planning on hitting the 2pm practices, or will you try for the 2 a days, at 8:45am and 5:30 pm? I'm inclined to go to the 2pm practices, as I think they will be longer and most likely will showcase both O and D, instead of what I suspect the two a days will be.... maybe more specialized in those sessions, etc.

Hey TJ... good to hear from you. Damn? Friday, huh? Right now it looks like I won't be able to make this Friday, but I'll be able to make next week on any day but Friday. I was thinking of going to one of the early Two-A-Days just to get more eyeball time in, but they're also a HUGE inconvenience for anybody from Jersey because of all the down time in between. I'd have to hang out there for over 6 freakin' hours wating for the next practice.

I could easily be talked into some 2PM practices though, what the hell. The commute wouldn't be bad either because I'm not on the Belt Pwy at peak times. I'm open for any day next week... Mon, Tues, Wed or Thur. Let's look at the schedule and firm up some days for the week of 7/31 and I'll meet you on the 50-yard line again. Sure would like to get Kellen Clemmins' autograph on my ball!

227, check your PM's. I'm very flexable, being 15 minutes from Hofstra.

And even with those 13 two-a-days of Herm's, over 20 players played overweight. Lia, you might want to have your boy-toy Herm cut down on the ribs over there in KC.

Just curious. Is one thread established on TGG daily for anyone who wants to post their TC observations, or do multiple threads get established daily by those who want to discuss what they saw. I think it would be nice to have one-stop shopping daily to get first-hand accounts of what occurred that day at TC, but I don't know what protocol has been in the past.

It would be nice to have a pinned thread for TC updates from board members.

Edit: Although the pinned thread will go largely ignored and Cman will go insane and smite the membership in a monstrous rage.
