The thing is we can't really improve our pass rush at this point. The only improvement in that regard is you hope Pace is healtheir and that the rookies make an impact but otherwise the only way we can improve our pass defense (which was spotty at times last year, especially on 3rd down) is to improve the secondary.

With 17 roster spots to fill I just don't see that happening.

We need to help Sanchez, Revis can handle the number 1 receiver. It would be great in a league with no cap, but now it would be stupid placement of dollars.

You will hear about this team and that team making a run for him till its over. Every team has their eye on him. He is the big prize this week.

anybody who pays him 15 million a year probably has no shot to win a superbowl. Aso at 30 is nowhere near the 15-20million dollar a year bullshit everybody is spewing. i can see him going for a 10-15mil area contract, which we can afford.

we're on the assumption that he's going to command a big salary and hit the cap. word on the street is he's willing to take less money to play. let us just entertain this thought for now...

There have been reports before the lockout even started that Asomugha isnt about the $$. Of course he isnt going to sign for 1-3million a year. He already cashed in HUGE on his Al Davis shit. Who knows about this acting stuff. Too bad we didnt do Hard Knocks this year, I suppose.

    His bottom is $10 million.

We have other needs first, and those our receivers for Sanchez.

Rex is fine with our defense, lets fill out our offensive roster first before we sign luxury items.

It's like buying expensive rims when you still need to buy new tires.

We already have the rims, we signed Revis. Aso will be the tires.

Just like i said, and many others. Offense is out top priority.

"The Jets were the first team to speak with Joel Segal, the agent for free agent Santonio Holmes, when the free agency period began Tuesday morning, Segal told The Post.
"The first conversation was with teh Jets followed by two other clubs," Segal said, declining to identify the other teams.
Holmes is the Jets' top free agent target, but there is expected to be plenty of competition for him. The Redskins have been reported to be interested in Holmes.
Segal said he will talk to the Jets again Tuesday. He would not get too detailed in how the conversation went this morning.
"We've had good communications," he said.

Offense would be the tires in this scenario.

Braylon potentially going to jail is a good thing for us, gives us time to stall on trying to re-sign him while we figure out if Aso is feasbile

It doesnt mean we are putting the axe on Aso. Just exploring possiblities. This guy seems like a clown though. Going on twitter, and asking his followers to give him feedback on where to go...
