Written By: NFL Blog Blitz I have pretty good season tickets but, as a lark, I recently called the Jets to see what was still available. In particular, I inquired about the upper level because, as you likely know, this level has no Personal Seat License (PSL). Surprisingly, the Jets still have pretty good seats available. They had two in section 340, rows 16 and 17, allowing for a family of four to sit together at the 40-yard line. Section 340 is just off the prime upper level section and rows 16 and 17 are only about halfway up, so that's a pretty good seat. The cost is $105 each (and of course no PSL!). StubHub! has listings for seats in this section from $135 to $222. The Jets also had seats in their prime, upper level section (50 yard line). Specifically, they had four in Section 314, row 17. These seats are $125 each and, again, no PSL. StubHub! has seats listed in this section for $183 to $295 making these seats an even better deal. While availability may change, the bottom line is that it is not too late to secure seats for the upcoming season and guarantee yourself entry to 2011/12 Jets home playoff games (of which I expect at least one). Go, Jets! For Jets news on Twitter, follow @Jets_Live
Stubhub has 1st tier seats at around $170 which is not a bad deal. i prefer the mezzanine yeah its more expensive but its the best view imo
Row 17 upper deck is just too high IMO, the Jets won't sell out the higher rows of the upper deck and will sell those same seats through Ticketmaster. So it really wouldn't make sense to buy season tickets up there when you can buy the same seats through Ticketmaster and not have to pay for the preseason games.
On the sidelines the first few rows aren't bad but not close to the great view the UD had in the old Stadium.
i am an upper decker until my time comes and a sweet deal falls in my lap for extremely cheap seats.if it never happens im ok with my upper deck seats btw anyone have new pics of the interior? was any modifications done ?
There's season tickets available on Ticketmaster. http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/0000464AD9FEA336?artistid=805987&majorcatid=10004&minorcatid=8
I have season tickets in row 18 of the UD on the 40 yard line. It is high, but you see the entire field and can see every play as well as the pass patterns and the coverages. It is a better view than in the lower rows of the UD towards the end zones and better than anything in any section on any level in the end zone. It is all a matter of preference, but after sitting on the sidelines for 30 years, I could not see moving to an end zone view and missing half the game.
Does that matter? I gave up my season tickets a few years ago but I still go to all the games- I just pay much less than STH's. The UD in the old building was perfect, in the new building it is ridiculously high. I'd sit anywhere to be in the building but where I used to love sitting in the UD in the old place I hate it now unless I am in the first few rows on the sideline. That's when I really realized how high I was, I sat at midfield about 10 rows up for the Pats game in week 2. I have perfect vision w/ my contact lenses in(and they were in that day) and I couldn't tell the difference btw LT and Shonn Greene. Forget the #s, I couldn't tell their running styles apart from up there.
I gave up my seasons beginning with this year because I figured this would be the case. Used to be I had great seats and there was a long waiting list, now I was way way up and no waiting list, so what was I protecting, exactly? Fuck the preseason and pre-season parking, even if I overpay $450 I break even on that alone.
It was a sad day the day I decided not to renew a few years ago but it was the best thing I could have done as far as saving money. I still go to all the games at a fraction of the price I used to pay.
