Hey guys where on the top Cornerback in the NFL list do you guys feel Drew Coleman should be listed? I am thinking 2 or 3. I am going 3 as I think Cromartie is a little better @ this point. Top 10 CB's, in no particular order after Nmandi: 1.) Revis 2.) Cromartie 3.) Drew Coleman 4.) Kyle Wilson 5.) M. Cole 6.) Nmandi 7.) T Williams 8.) C. Bailey 9.) Woodson 10.) A. Samuel I am a real Jets fan? amirite
Damn, 1 injury and DeMeco Ryans doesn't even make honorable mention? And I agree with Harris being outside the top 10, he's a great player for the Jets, but he's never reached that next level many thought he would. He's bordering elite, but he can't quite make the switch...
I find it very curious that London Fletcher would be on this list. And fitting as well, since, like David Harris, Fletcher spent most of the prime of his career being ignored by the experts who would only years later be shamed into recognizing his ability. This list is nothing but offseason blather, in an offseason that lacks much real substance. Half of the players on that list could easily be argued off of it, or in the least further down the list.
This is a comparison of the stats between Mayo and Harris also keep in mind Harris is playing opposite Bart Scott. Stat David Harris Jerod Mayo Games 59 ------ 45 Tackles 428 ----- 406 Sacks 14.5 ----- 3.5 Int 2 -------- 0 FF 5------ 3 t/pg 7.25------ 9.02 scks/pg .246------ .078
I agree with this. It's not a terrible list. Harris is very good but the majority of the guys on this list ahead of him deserve to be there. Or at the very least you can make the argument for them. If Harris was better in pass coverage then he would probably be placed over a lot of the guys ranked ahead of him right now.
Every year, people think that London Fletcher will finally wear out and lose a step. Every year, he proves those people wrong (myself included). Aside from Jon Beason, London Fletcher is the only guy on this list who has never missed a game. The dude's a juggernaut. One year ago, I would have agreed with you. But I think he's finally returned to his pre-back injury form. He was fantastic last year. Personally, I have an issue with Lawrence Timmons. I'm certain he's a very good player, but he's also playing on the best linebacking corps in the NFL. A lot of these linebackers make their teammates better because of their dominance; I don't know that I could say the same for Timmons. Also, I wouldn't be worried about Harris' non-ranking. The NFL is rich with talented middle/inside linebackers right now.
