    We probably should have guessed that it would be one of the more Keystone Kops version of NFL organizations would be the first to leak that a deal was all but done this week. Although my guess would probably have been the Dolphins or the Panthers.

    Good thread, although the first line in your post was asking for trouble.

    The part I found odd is that they said it would be done on sunday, when there havent been any negotiations going on on weekends.

    Which means that a deal is really really close to done and that theyll work through the weekend to close it, or that this organization is just really really stupid.

    And since its the redskins who knows. Truthfully id listen to any organization other than the Raiders

    agreed, this is why I don't believe it either, but it certainly won't stop me hoping its true. Hell I am hoping schefter starts reporting they are close to a deal in the next couple days. It would be great to get FA started and finally figure out what the roster will look like!

    Apparently they have lawyers working on the paperwork already today + tomorrow for the small stuff so that it will all be finished already when they agree on the larger stuff in principle.

    Either-way im strongly expecting shit to get finished before July 15th.
