Texans | M. Coleman released Tue, 28 Feb 2006 17:00:36 -0800 HoustonTexans.com reports the Houston Texans have released FS Marcus Coleman from the team.
I actually liked Coleman when he was with us. He is probably getting a little old now for our team since we are rebuilding. Someone will pick him up.
if we were competing next year. hell yeah can never have to many dbs with experience. but were not. go with the youing guys. i think maddox is gonna surprise
For all you younguns, Coleman was a hit or miss db...for the most part miss. Once in a while he'd bat down or intercept the ball, but 4 out of 5 times he'd be burnt for the long ball. I was happy when we let him go when we did and I would want nothing to do with him now.
I know, I didn't mean he'd get a job at corner, I just meant he was a good corner for us. He'll probably be a backup FS, maybe he'll go to Dallas to be with Parcells just like all those other guys did and backup Roy Williams.
backup Roy? you mean start opposite Roy, I think he's better than Keith Davis ever will be, but now, in his old age, heh.
Coleman showed us flashes of greatness, but never came through with the goods. He was always a little too slow, mentally or physically. We don't want him at safety, he's got almost nothing left in the tank, IMO.
Why are you getting on her case man, the only wrong she does is always post the thread in the wrong forum. But it is news.
i think we'll all remember his two picks on the midnight miracle, i liked him opposite of glenn maybe my favorite corner duo
He had a excellent end of '99 which led to his big contract which he then never played up to. Very athletic, big play guy but not a very good corner. he was like the Corner version of Erik Mcmillan.
My fondest memory of Marcus Coleman was the hail mary pass from Vinny at the end of the 1st half against Buffalo where he came in and grabbed the ball over 3 Bills defenders!
