you make an excellent point, but to be fair, i don't think sapp was trying to say cro is better than revis. i think he was using cro on more #1's to argue that dware is the better defensive player than revis. i didn't see it, so i'm guessing, but if sapp see's all the games he claims to see, he should've noticed the safety help.

Sapp is totally correct. Cromartie has most definitely covered #1 more that Revis.......His has what 3-4 #1 sons. The Jets advanced him 500k so he has the kids covered..........

Amazed this forum can't put a thinking cap on..................

    1. That was a stupid comment he was using to justify WRe as the best defensive player.

    2. Sapp is still better than Dukes.

Not worried about it...we all know who the man is at CB in the NFL, no matter what Sapp says.

NFL Network, like all channels, is in the business of making money, first and foremost. A back and forth of:

"Who is the best defensive player?"
    "Revis."
    "Revis."
    "Who is the best quarterback?"
    "Peyton Manning."
    "Peyton Manning."

    ...isn't exactly high ratings material.

I'd bet that the whole thing was scripted during pre-production meetings, with one guy given his choice of naming the best defensive player (Baldy) and Sapp being told to argue someone else.

Now, Kyle Brady vs. Warren Sapp is a debate I'd like to discuss.

But he shouldn't argue using false information.

Everyone in the league gets more safety help than Revis.

This proves my point about what I said in my post a while back. The NFLN crew is a bunch of Idiots.

    Especially Sapp!

The only thing you proved in your previous post is that you wander through life in a blissful fog of ignorance.

Sapp always sides with the D-linemen, nothing new here. I too think Ware is the best defensive player though. D-linemen are involved in every friggin snap while CBs are involved in just a handful of plays. Also often a lineman helps CB out, not the other way around. Obviously best player in the NFL will be either Manning or Brady, not CJ, AP or Andre Johnson. Same way on defense, it is Ware by default. Revis is no way is better as a CB than Ware as a DE, they both are equally talented where one plays for a position of much more impact.

I think Sapp might still be pissed about the Jets passing on him.

True, but does Ware absolutely dominate his assignment every single play like Revis does? Not likely. Nor does anybody else in the league at this moment.
