Ryan is doing a couple of the things he does best on this occasion... being honest and stating the obvious. After watching this team for close to 4 decades, I am not sure that I have witnessed a player in a Jets uniform exact his will on the opponent more effectively than D. Revis. And this includes Kevin Mawae and Joe Klecko in their respective primes. It is natural for fans to side with the team where the salary cap is concerned, but if you can truly come to appreciate what a marvel Revis is on the field, I am not sure how you can begrudge him the money he has received. And earned.
I don't think there is any doubt about it. He still has to perform but after just 4 years he is on the right path to EASILY be the greatest player in franchise history. Don't confuse that w/ most important but as far as best player? he's well on his way to easily becoming #1.
I had heard that Tanny actually got some fairly iron-clad no holdout language put into the contract this time, but if anybody's got a source to back it up please pass it along. This shit makes me paranoid.
i told a friend the same thing before last season.the man is an absolute stud and will be mentioned with th G.O.A.T's
There is something in there but it is far from ironclad. It just makes it more difficult to hold out.
And you're a moron. What was the point of bringing back this 9 month old thread just to say this? Did you wake up this morning and decide to troll more than usual?
