http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000...he-boot-in-tight-playoff-tussle?module=HP_cp2 Great read on the game. It was epic! Re-Watch the highlights they posted of the game too. It will pump you up! Why is this game No. 6 of 2010? This was one game this season that I was completely locked in; it reminded me of playing the "Legend of Kage" on my Nintendo and being completely engaged, no matter how loud my brother played Boston on his Fender, or how much my dog painted and re-painted one side of my face. The match of wits between Ryan versus Manning was wicked. On the other side of the ball, Jets offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer kept creating favorable matchups in the first half, only to have Sanchez (painfully) miss them. But the young quarterback rebounded nicely to deliver a win. As with any great playoff game, No. 6 on our list came down to controversial play calls, some big-time throws and two very clutch kicks.
I've got to agree that Giants-Eagles II will be #1, and not far behind it will be Saints-Seahawks Wild Card game. I'd like to see the Jets-Dolphins from Week 3 in there, as it was one of my favorites from the season, but I'm not sure if this list would see it was a top 5 NFL game. About Jets-Pats Divisional's placement: if the Colts game is #6, then that game has to be coming up soon. I mean, it's a top 3 game for me as a Jets fan, but for others I would've assumed it'd barely crack the top 10. And that one had a lot more drama and story in it than the Colts game.
The Jets-Pats game needs to be #2 at least (next to Seahawks-Saints). That was a game no one predicted the Jets to win.
Just another thought on remaining games, I wouldn't be surprised to see the first Raiders-Chiefs game (division lead was on the line) from about mid-season within the next couple numbers. That one had a lot of excitement toward the end, and Raiders won in OT.
I think the Jets have 3 games in the top 20 countdown. It wouldn't shock me if the Pats playoff game is #1. How can it not be? What game was better than that?
If you consider the background it was the best. 45-3 still fresh on everybody's mind, pats seemingly unbeatable...and the jets just walked into their house and kicked their teeth in. Jets could have easily won by 17 (missed fg plus garbage time pats td made it a 7 pt game) If you don't and just look at the game itself it was just an ass kicking. Yeah it was awesome but it wasn't a 'thriller' for non-jet fans.
This is in my top 3 of favorite all time games and it was even better being there. People seem to forget though that it was a 3 pt game in the 4th qtr. I believe the first play of the 4th was that Cotchery catch and run which set up the Holmes TD so it wasn't a blowout though we badly outplayed them. This game could easily wind up on this list.
Definitely, Rex designing the perfect defense to leave Brady in tears was Jet Perfection. Throw in Mark outplaying him and just getting shit done. GOD I hope we win the Super Bowl this year.
It certainly was all my all time top 3 games as a Jets fan - Maybe #1 as I was too young to remember/watch the SB win. It was so satisfying to smack those smug bitches upside the face and listen to the crying of Pats fans everywhere.
eh, the Giants meltdown was a shitty game until the last 5 minutes of the ball game. The Saints-Hawks game can make it. That was a shocker.
If Jets-Bears, Jets-Steelers (regular season) and Jets-Browns made it, Jets-Texans will almost definitely be in the top 5. Steelers-Ravens and Jets-Pats divisional games were both great, along with Giants-Eagles, Eagles-Packers round 1, and Seahawks-Saints.
Man I forgot how great that game was. Cromartie's return, Sanchez clutch, Braylon's catch, and then Folk. If anyone of those things go wrong, we would've been done and never had a shot at the Pats.
