This guy if he stays healthy will be a beast. 6-8 319 LBS he will be a great end to compliment Wilkerson and Devito.

I think the Jets have solved the lineman issue. Devito is the most underrated lineman out there. He isn't a prolific pass rusher but on 1st and 2nd down he can stop the run.

    I'm excited.

I still hope we can bring back Jenkins, Ellis, n Jason Taylor on cheap deals. More depth the better.

Haven't forgot about Pitoitua, He's gonna add some good depth to the new improved beast mode line.

We need youth though not a guy who is going to cost millions to ride a stationary bike.

I never forgot about Ropati. The problem is he is a 315lb man trying to rehab from a torn Achilles Tendon. He is not coming back to 100% this season. That's why we picked two DLine to begin with.

Why in the world would we bring back Jenkins now? We've GOT depth. As of right now, we likely run 7 deep on the DL. Ellis would make 8.

This... we'll see but a torn achilees tendon for someone that big is a big hurdle to overcome...

  9. Great rotation...a lot of solid, large linemen. Devito is a very good workhorse and run stopper. The two 2011 picks...Pitoitua...even Jarron Gilbert. A lot of good, young depth on the defensive line.

With these two picks our defensive line depth/age problems are instantly nullified.

Well I definitely think this closes the book on Jenkins as a Jet.. but the reason they would bring him back is pretty simple.. if they think he can be healthy, he's still the best lineman on the team, by far.

Who the hell forgot? He's been talked about all offseason.

He's one of the reasons why I was a little pissed we went with the Ellis pick. That and Pouha has done a bang up job the past two years. Adding depth can't hurt though, not with Rex.

Now if we were stockpiling RBs I'd be nervous.

I think we needed Ellis to take some of the pressure off Pouha.. Pouha was great all year but I felt like he wore down a little bit towards the end. Having a solid rotation will be great for everyone.

Now if we don't bring back Shaun Ellis, we still have a real nice rotation at DE with DeVito, Wilkerson, Pitoitua, Gilbert... plus Pouha or K. Ellis even being able to play together in some sets. Rex must love the way the d-line is setting up..

Don't forget that Pouha is going to have to cover the extra 10 plays that Jenkins played every year.

"The kid just tore his fucking achilles! Do you wanna make this team or not"

How could you ever forget the guy that tore his achilles after a Rex quote like that.

For a team with not many true flaws if any, the d line has been a horrible the last two years getting any pressure up the middle...on the ends..horrible.

Talk about addressing a problem...the Jets didnt mess around in this draft. Good teams are allowed to draft the way they did. A POTENTIALLY great way to at least make that line average/above average.

With all the other strengths...the defense got better.

    Didn't forget about Ropati.

He's depth until proven otherwise. I'm rooting for him.
