I figured it was because I turned off the game, and they realized that they'd better put it back or else.

Good early season win, the Mets have been looking good. I can't let myself get too excited yet.

Well i did say I was looking forward to Young but not as a batter!!!

Pleasing to see the likes of Wright clearly improving their swing and plate discipline, lets hope it lasts but this CS seem to have done a complete mind erase on this unit!!

Anyway lets hope my prediction in first post is wrong and sweep these clowns!!

I noticed too. That and the speed of the pitch is gone!

Nice win, I really liked the 7th run after the phillies scored theirs. It was like they were saying "Don't even think about coming back today" David Wright looks like he is on on of his streaks where he can dominate. In the past they would bean him to get him out of it. But not last night. I am sure it will be coming if he keeps seeing the ball this well.

That was one of the most enjoyable nights watching baseball I have had in some time.

I am not going all ott but I said in off season thread that Aldersons signings all had high ceilings ref pay off , all it needs is 2 or 3 of the likes of Young / Emaus / Harris / Capuano to succeed and we stand a chance of a WC.

Obviously if it goes tits up then it was worth the low risk gamble

Sigh, Pelfrey has looked like trash so far this year.

Pelfrey is a freaking moron. He lets a bunt from the pitcher drop (correctly), then DOESN'T throw to second for the force (which is why he let it drop to begin with), and then throws it away when he throws to first.

Even if the Mets lose this game I won't be that upset just on the grounds they didn't just fold.

Shame that once again Pelfrey ruined a game for them, but I'm glad to see this team actually come back.

Wtf was Pelfrey throwing tonight a shuttlecock? Curveball / curveball and then a floating slider...

Still this team seems to have energy which is more than we have had previous two years....if only Santana hadn't borrowed the Shoulder rehab book from Pennington!!

Well Boyer could help that inning. A check swing, off the glove and Beltran almost making a great catch. Nice effort.

Davis is going to mash this year.
