Hello all, your friendly non-Jets poster SteelCurtain96 here! Some of you may have heard the Cubs posted their PA announcer job on careerbuilder.com and there's a Nationwide talent search going on. This is my audition video for the gig: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rV-QvY1mR5g Feel free to offer up criticism....I'm curious to hear positive and negative feedback so I can always keep improving. The production equipment isn't exactly professional grade, but it's what I had available.
Sounds legit SC. I don't know much about the nuances of stadium announcer's annunciations, pauses, etc...but it seems like you will be in the thick of the competition. good luck, let us know if we can do anything to help. Although, I'll say this...you sort of announced it like you were an arena announcer (i.e. Bulls or Blackhawks). Baseball guys do it differently I think.
Great stuff man, Im jealous of that announcer voice you got, trying to be on the radio myself. Best of luck too ya!
I did throw in a "touch" of arena announcing when I introduced the Chicago Cubs. The Rest of it was a bit slower paced in the baseball tradition. Not sure exactly what style they want, but I am versatile and can do both of them
