I really like liriano and Brett Anderson. Personally I would grab Hughes over Morrow. Hughes has made pretty big strides each year, and I expect it to keep going. Marrow is a solid pitcher too, but I'd go Hughes and wait to get some value in the later rounds.

I always focus my fantasy teams on pitching. Pitching is way more consistent than hitting, so it's real important to grab several quality starters in those early-mid rounds and maybe get a young guy late no one knows about. Brian Matusz, CJ Wilson (had him last year, helped me win my league), and Jair Jurrjens I think may could possibly be a real late stale in a draft or in FA.

This was my favorite post in any of my seven leagues in 2010-

Just read C. Lee already has an issu with a side muscle. I know it's way early in spring training but still.

He has any sort of nagging injury and he'll sit for a while. The Phillies won't really need Lee in order to make the playoffs. The Cardinals, on the other hand, need Wainwright to pitch well and often in the regular season. That's how I see it, at least. It's another reason to take Wainwright over Lee.

Well, looks like they're both hurt. Wainwright might be up for TJ.... Looks like I'm going with Lee.

Go with Lee and maybe try to trade him.

Like I said before, I NEED an ace pitcher. You don't think Lee will meet expectations on the mound, or is the side injury more serious than I'm aware of?

For what it's worth, he just threw 38 pitches to live hitters without any problems. I'm not going to assume they start skipping his starts early in the season until I hear confirmation that he's seriously hurt.

If you need one, then keep him. I just have this feeling he'll spend some time on the DL this year. Any type of little injury such as this side injury thingy would likely result in Philadelphia putting him on the DL. They won't really need him to win in the regular season. They need him ready for the postseason.

    Yes. Drafted Thursday.

Should I accept this trade offer? Nick Swisher and Carlos Zambrano for Carlos Beltran and Alroidis Chapman?

I would make that trade. Beltran is not healthy and I could see Chapman spending some time in the minors this year.

Mine's done. 10 team league, here is Team BALCO:

    SP Cliff Lee
    SP Josh Johnson
    SP Josh Beckett
    SP Ricky Romero

    RP Mariano Rivera

    C Vic Martinez
    1B Albert Pujols
    2B Ricky Weeks
    SS Derek Jeter
    3B Alex Rodriguez
    OF Jayson Werth
    OF Ichiro Suzuki
    OF Nick Swisher
    UTIL Vernon Wells

    Bench:
    Torii Hunter
    Manny Ramirez
    Michael Bourne
    Carlos Quentin
    Alfonso Soriano
    Jaime Garcia

Bouneback seasons from Jeter and Beckett are critical to my success. Will still be rooting against Beckett every step of the way.

I have a money draft tomorrow night.

You guys have any suggestions for websites with up-to-date stats/analysis/injury reports that are reliable?

    thanks in advance.

This week I have had no desire to play fantasy baseball. I have played fantasy baseball since 2000, but I sat out the 2007 season. I might sit out this year too.

I'm sick of trying to find people for my league (TGG member Oasis let me down by leaving today).

I have all three of my drafts scheduled for Sunday (noon, 8pm and 10pm) and have not done any prep work. I joined a 3rd year keeper league this past Sunday. I had to keep 17 of the players that were on the previous manager's roster. The draft will run only about an hour. Tomorrow I may tell the commissioner I lost the desire.
