It's like it always is with us,we won't get any respect until we win the big one.Who gives a shit what those asswipes think, anyway? I personally love all the hate that comes our way.
I can't see us being out of the playoffs most years into the future as this team is always reloading trying to get better.I doubt Rex/Tanny/Woody would have it any other way.

I can see the argument for saying that the Jets won't be as good next year (losing lots of players to free agency); I don't agree with it (because we have a strong core regardless and a lot of the free agents aren't really key), but I understand it.

The argument in this article is just weak; running game will be weaker? (a) we might not lose L.T. and (b) L.T. is hardly irreplaceable at this stage of his career. The passing game will be weaker? He admits Sanchez will be better, and I'd hardly call Holmes/Edwards (pick one) and Jericho, and Keller to be a weak receiving core (maybe not world-beaters, but not weak). Admittedly its a brief argument, but if you're going to argue that a team that's been to back-to-back conference title games isn't going to make the playoffs next year, you'd best elaborate.

Edit: Oh, and come on, the Texans are going to make the leap into the playoffs? I feel like I've heard this song before...

Anyway, Brady's not getting any younger (he'll be 34 at the start of the season), most QBs start to drop off in their mid-30s.

Not saying he'll be any worse this year, but he doesn't have a whole lot of time left from the way I see it. The magic number for the great QBs to retire is around 37 or 38.

No respect, as always. 2 AFC Championship games in a row means nothing apparantly to these clowns.

And where exactly are the holes that will be created? Harris will be back. At the very least 1 of the wr's will be back. And either Cro will be here, or NA will replace him. So, who are the Jets losing? Potentially Brad Smith? Not a big deal. Potentially Wayne Hunter? Come on now. Brodney Pool and Eric Smith? One of them will be back, and the one that isn't is not a big deal.

The fact is that this team has very few holes going into next year, and will get another pass rusher, or two via free agency or the draft. Will upgrade safety, and will add O-line depth. So, the only way the Jets dont make the playoffs next year is if there is a lockout.

The playoff teams in the AFC are easy for next year since the good teams will stay good:

    1. Jets
    2. Pats
    3. Steelers
    4. Colts
    5. Ravens
    6. Chargers

The order will be determined, but each of those teams will win at least 10 games, and fight it out to go to the Superbowl.

Lomis (sp?) Brown from First Take just picked the Jets to make it to the Super Bowl to play the Falcons. But, he said that Schotty has done a good job with Mark Sanchez. He also believes that most of the FA's will be signed and they will use the losing in the AFCG as motivation after Jon Ritchie said the Patriots will use the loss to the Jets as revenge. Finally Jay Crawford said that players love Rex so he believes that the FA's will want to stick around.

Maybe the predictions change once the Jets settle their in-house business. Right now the roster is in a state of flux because of all the expiring contracts.

Pretty hard to pick the Jets unless you assume they are keeping most of their impact FA's. I'm sure if the pundits knew for certain the Jets wer bringing mostly everyone back, they would have been rated top 5.

I'd like to see some of those articles!?! Everyone had the Jets as up and comers after last season, with most predicting them to win the AFC East.

It's OK to play the disrespect card when it is applicable, like maybe this offseason, but not last year.

nobody should be upset. anybody remember Bart Scott being pissed off after the Patriots game? I'm sure you all do.. lol.

I hope every single NFL "Expert" says the jets will go 0-4 preseason and 0-16.
