You're right, and neither will 30 either teams. Was it a great run? Hell yea. But to say that we are in a select group of teams that the ultimate goal was the super bowl, and not the entire league, is idiotic. 31 teams start with 1 idea in mind, to win the SB. No player or team starts the year thinking any less.
I liked Rex's jab at the rest of the league yesterday, as in "will you motherfuckers do us a favor and figure out how to beat the Patriots once in a while?" Most teams get to worry about first winning their division, then getting a top seed, THEN beating Belichick and Brady. We get it in reverse order. If Dallas can be an east team why the hell can't we move to the NFC west? :breakdance:
Schadenfreude. Outside of Jet Nation, Ryan is a loudmouth and blowhard. His constant stream of verbage is not endearing or inspirational, it is annoying. Of course the media is on him- he has begged for their attention all season long. In my opinion, a less brash less loud coach achieving what Ryan has achieved so early would get nothing but love. Ryan, however, gets ridicule. Not because of what he has done, but because of all the shit he has talked while doing it- he wanted the spotlight on him and he has it.
^ They also bitched and moaned for a week because Rex didn't call Tomlin's mother a whore or some other crazy thing they could coast through their work week with. Rex is a sports reporter's fucking wet-dream.
Yea.... I'm sure the media hates coaches like Ryan, they prefer BB type coaches 24/7 to get the real juicy stuff.
so much of a success that I don't think they will be able to put it together next year. It's unfortunate because they really had the team to get it done this year. I am convinced we would be ready to throw down GB and win it all. Still can't believe we lost. So dissapointed but overall impressed with what we accomplished, especially this year.
