kids got talent, and looked promising in camp and preseason. I thikn he just needed a year under his belt. Still a fan of his and looking forward to what he has to bring to the table next year.
You haven't got a clue. Wilson was higher on the Jet's board, even Rex mentioned his brother wanted Wilson over Haden. Rex couldn't believe Wilson fell to #29, he expected Wilson to be gone much earlier. If the Pat's took Wilson, I'm certain Rex would have taken McCourty. McCourty had a very good year, but I'm not willing to make a boom or bust prediction on both of their careers in their rookie season.
I'm not saying you don't keep your eyes on the receiver. Read my post. I called KW a "sensational" player. However, I did say he needs to get his head on a swivel. His coverage is outstanding, no one is denying that. More times than not, he had his receiver blanketed. Although, he's been late turning his head on quite a few passes this season.
I wish Cro had one more year on his contract so Wilson could develop more. Wilson year 3 is going to be sick just you watch.
Gholston's been teaching him how to milk a franchise for money. KDub will be much improved next year. The talent is there, he just needs to perfect the details and nuances of playing corner in the offseason. I hope he becomes best buds with Revis and Thurman
Wilson played...he almost got WATERBOYED. Got hit in the mask with a perfect should have been interception, and it would have stuck in there like Adam Sandler in the Waterboy had he not had that screen on his mask. He sucks. Almost as bad a player as Ghoulston, only he actually gets minutes on the field.
Dwight Lowery hasnt learned much from Revis. And ive asked (this is the third time) if he helps Wilson.
People ragging on him about the ball thrown into his facemask are tards. The ball was thrown from about 7 yards away by a qb with one of the stronger arms in the league - he barely had time to react. I'm excited to see what he brings to the table next year.
Dwight Lowery can't play corner. Most people would have figured that out when they stopped letting him play corner.
We may call him Revis Christ, but he can't touch a CB on the shoulder and he suddenly becomes Darrell Green. Lowery can't play man corner, he's suited for Tampa 2 or safety. Wilson will learn from Revis this upcoming TC, but Revis is not the coach, Dennis Thurman is.
I have no worries about Kyle Wilson next season. We'll probably see some growing pains early if he gets the starting role due to Cro not being resigned but he will be as good if not better than Cro was this season. His strength and aggression make him a better fit for Rex's system than Cro ever could have been.
He had a really good training camp and pre-season. I think him getting jerked around between being a starter on the outside and a nickel on the inside really messed with his development. We can save a lot of cash if we let Cro go via FA or tag and trade. If the CS feels they can get by with him as a starter that'd be huge.
Remember at the start of the Season, Revis was still a holdout and KDub was taking reps at the #1 & #2 spots (CB). Then all of a sudden hes asked to play nickel and dime when Revis came back. I actually think if Cro doesn't come back that KDub will actually fit straight in, he looked pretty good in TC and pre season, for a rookie. The only real problem I can see is playing opposite Revis and continually being targeted. Other than that, I have every confidence in him.
I'm keeping the faith with Wilson. With 21 tackles this year, he's already amassed half the total tackles Vagina Gholston has for his entire career.
I'm actually hoping Cro does come back. I'm looking forward to seeing Kyle as the Nickle CB. He's short but he has the strength and speed to handle the slot WRs and TE's. He will develop. He had an up n down rookie year and as others have stated, its most likely due to the "you're starting...no your not....yes you are...oh wait" that went on with the Revis holdout/injury. KW in the slot with Jimmy, Pool, and a possible upgrade at safety would be a pretty formidable backfield.
