I've been hearing people say this was Westoff's last year and he's retiring. Anyone know if this is true? I haven't found anything regarding it. Obviously he's a great special teams coach and from watching Hard Knocks you can tell he's really Rex's right-hand man.
That guy deserves some jewellery. We won't realize how great of a coach he was til he's gone and our STs fucks up regularly.
No doubt, hopefully the Jets find someone with even half the decision making and smart coaching of Westhoff. He's one of if not the best in the league. He's responsible for making Brad Smith what he is in the special teams game, i think(Added to Brads natural ability).
Good, maybe our next ST coach can teach a punter how to punt or a kicker how to kick, because apparently Westhoff has no idea how to do that.
