Benigno and Roberts Opening 1/24/2011 - "NOT the same old Jets"

I only watch Benigno on SNY. Never listen to him on the radio. And i love him.

 

Yup I wasnt the only one who truely believed if we got the ball back in the final minute we would be goin to Dallas!

 

are they simulcast live on sny? i've only ever listened to them on the radio haha

 

Where not the same old jets tha is true, Just the same old results in a more competitive fashion.

 

good stuff. I don't get to listen to them as often because of their timeslot but they were on this morning for Boomer and Carton. I gotta say not the biggest fan of them but it was nice listening to someone actually break the game down fairly. They also spent a good amount of time talking about offseason moves. Nice to not have to listen to someone with such obvious hatred for the team for once.

I am really, really hurting. This is gonna take a long time to get over. Two Championship games in a row. Two losses. This was our year and we blew it. ITs so hard to get to this point, so many things need to go right. It could be another 10 years before another chance. I really hate being a Jet fan, the pain, the emptiness I feel, its like I lost a friend. Anyone who ssys the furutre looks bright is fooling themsleves, its a year to year deal. This was our year, that was our chance and our team came out flat. Same old Jets, not the same old Jets, bottom line, we blew it.

this was certainly our best shot since 98, as i genuinely feel the team was ready.
In terms of the future though, consistent teams have good QB's and Coaching. I feel we've got the right HC. Can Sanchez take the step and become a borderline pro bowler in the coming years? God i hope so. If not, we better turn our D into something truly dominant. either way though, we have enough to stay in the equation for some years to come. Staying healthy, catching a couple breaks, and either the Defensive or Sanchez development will all be needed to get over the hump in a tough AFC..

 

it makes me cry that our defense could not stop the fucking steelers one more time on that drive...Big Ben was shit the whole night..

 

Come on, if Joe freakin Beningo can be optimistic, anyone can. This post is a disgrace to the fanbase. Let me hand you a tissue, actually, I'd rather throw the box at you like the drill sargent from the Geico ad. You feel empty? Hate being a Jets fan? Go root for the Giants.

 

I hate Joe and Evan more than Francesa. They're the biggest whiny homers I've ever listened to.

 

Beningo was pessimistic the whole damm year until we lost the Steeler game. Dude's got issues. He ain't the leader of the pack just because he's on the radio. I don't give a damm what those 2 idiots said, this one hurt, and hurt bad. I don't cry, just get depressed and feel sorry for myself so hold the tissues, I need a hooker and a bone to make me feel better. Thirty year season ticket holder, I can say whatever I want pal

 

Joe Benigno is my favorite sports radio analyst in town. He's smart, knowledgeable and a big fan.

I can only tolerate Brandon Tierney for short sound bites on SNY. On the radio he seems a bit to enamored with himself and some of his vocal stylings make me climb the wall.

Jody Macdonald has a horrendous voice, he sounds like an irate accountant.

Michael Kay is a windbag and a buffoon.

Fuck the Giants, their super bowls, wine and cheese fans, and everything generally associated with them. We are Jets fans, and when our team does win the Super Bowl, we're gonna party harder than those old farts ever could.

Yes you can say whatever you want, and if it's whiny SOJF babble I can say whatever I want in response to it. I'm invested in this team just as much as you.

 

Quite honestly...Boomer & Carton are the best sports radio personalities in NY

And the shmoozer who puts me to sleep when i listen to him late night...not sure if he is still with the FAN.

Michael Kay gets the best guests...Fatcessa is just a dump of a show that is only popular with the old crowd who really has been part of WFAN for a long time.

Beningo & Evans are the most relatable though...Evans is like one of us...Beningo still lives in the past of SOJ

 

This one definitely hurt. I can't even look at the news paper much listen to sports radio after the Jets lose a regular season game. Now that they got ousted in the AFCCG this one is going to linger for a long time. FUCK
