In my time as a Jets fan the Jets are 0-4 in AFC championship games. L@Miami L@Denver L@Indy L@Pittsburgh Going into the games, the two I felt the best chance of winning were Miami and Pittsburgh, though I did not expect them to win either. This team needs to get one of these at home! It's going to be tough. NE is not going anywhere, and they are completely stacked for this draft. I am so sick of losing these games, as is every other Jets fan. You get so close only to have your heart ripped out. I think they need a change of mentality. Currently they are a close game kind of team. I don't like it! They need to become a big win kind of team. They have the main tool to do that, Sanchez! Let's make it happen. I am not talking about becoming the Colts offense, but I think they need to become more of a go for the jugular offense.
What's truly great about this part of the season is how every other poster finds the need to start a new thread when some random thought pops into their head.
Agreed. Let's draft a rotweiller, name it Bruce Johnson, and train it to attack that space between the helmet and shoulder pads. Let's see James Harrison try to stop that!
2 great games from a young QB and we lost both. No guarantee when we're at home and favored a tipped pass or bad came doesn't come back to bite us. That's why you GOTTA take advantage of a 120 QB rating !!
3 of those games were against HOF QBs. Ben is going to the hall too. The Jets didn't have a HOF QB in any of those games. It has a lot to do with it.
As Rex said after the game, these teams we're playing are in the playoffs for a reason. They are really good football teams! They play great defense and they have weapons on offense, just like us. Nobody is getting blown out, except for the Chiefs. Now if your point is that the Jets have to play better in the regular season in order to play these playoff games at home, I can get behind that. We lost some brutal games this year at home by playing UGLY offensive football (Ravens, GB, Miami come to mind). Hopefully, Sanchez will continue to develop and we will see that increased consistency as well as a division title, first round bye, and home field advantage. Maybe that pushes us over the top.
