Destiny loves to pick on us...even when we have the opportunity to win. Its so hard to win in the league, but the same teams find a way to get it done some way. We went to the AFC Championship game back-to-back years...what are the odds that happens 3 times in a row? Its just incredibly hard even if SOJ is dead...Its a depressing thought.
I thought of this before. It's extremely hard to get to the AFCCG once. Back-to-back years? Even harder. If we are fortunate enough to get their yet again next season, I fully expect Rex to literally fire a gunshot or two at someone, anyone, if it means we win the game.
The world is going to end in 2012 so hopefully there will not be a lock out. If there is, then no the Jets and us, their fans, are screwed.
If nothing else we have one hell of a young QB. With that being said, this was supposed to be our year. Next year the Patriots have two draft picks in each of the first three rounds. Next year might be a lockout. We could potentially lose four of our top ten players in Edwards, Holmes, Cromartie, and Harris. If we do not sign or tag Edwards we need to make some changes in the front office.
We will win a SB if the team actually plays well enough during the regular season to win the AFC East and get HFA throughout the playoffs. It is extremely hard to win on the road in the playoffs, and having to run the table on the road every year is far too difficult a task.
I think we will get one with Rex and Sanchez unfortunately I think we may have to wait a few years. I just don't think were going back to the championship game next year knowing how improbable it would be to be there 3 years in a row
Anything can happen. Bills went to four straight, the Raiders went to five straight and I think won only one. If this team builds right, there's no reason we can't get back.
Ask the Bills they did it four straight timess but I feel the blame should fall on Joe Namath for selling his soul
Hey your guys could have packed it in after that abysmal 1st half. That 2nd half and Sanchez (you have your franchise QB) have to give you hope that the next step up is coming. As a fan who lived through 35+ years of mostly horrible teams, sprinkled in with two or 3 years of almost getting to the top, yet falling off the cliff just as they get there I understand the frustration. All you can do is look at what you've got, and take heart that it's going to come. You have to at least fell optimistic that your team is gonna be in it for the forseeable future.
Who fucking knows man? It's a good start getting this far two years in a row but with our roster in a state of flux who knows if we can make it there again. This one hurts, it was a great opportunity that we squandered. The second half showed just how good a football team we are but the first half we played like absolute dog shit for reasons we'll never know Hopefully we can bring everybody back
well its almost as if this is natures course we do this shit all the time i am a wreck right now feel like i have nothing to look foward to pissed off at everybody and i have no answer. but in spite of that im really proud of this jets team and our coach and i believe he will deliever that trophy to us one day. we have alot to be excited for even though my friends took all my shoe laces and belts away from me after this game. gotta a good group of guys that wanna play for rex and new york and if you got that you got a chance. sleep well jets faithfull --- AJAD
Sad to say but after all these years, this was our best chance and they didn't bother showing up in the first half. So, no, we won't.
I was a fan of a my old home town team, that sucked for years, and then came together and won a bunch of Super Bowls. It was always fun to follow the team win or lose. That''s where my enjoyment came from. Winning the Super bowls didn't make my dick get any bigger. This team has been just as fun (actually a lot more), and I love the Jets- and the people here that are true fans. Best team, best fans, and best forum on the net. Thank you Jets, and TGG.
