I never post, but have to because the pain is unbearable. Besides the obvious plays, (1&G at the 2 and no points), two other plays really bother me right now. One, that Kyle Wilson ball in the face. You have to catch that. We would have had the damn ball on the 40 and all of the momentum. Then the last kickoff coverage by us. I have watched this 5x already. They have the guy dead to rights at the 20, and Joe Mcknight and Drew Coleman let the guy go, then B Smith who was clearly hurting lets him get another 10 out to the 40. This was a big deal, it allowed Pitt to be more aggressive with their playcalling. I know there are many other plays that were humongous, but these two seemed big. I would have loved to see us get the ball back at the end. This one hurts bad

Just watched the kickoff again, and that non-play by Drew Coleman was one of the worst fucking plays I have ever seen. My sadness is turning to rage. Those who dvr'd the game watch it, its ridiculous

Biggest mistakes tonight. The revis drop on the int and not just running the ball and going into the half down 17. On the drive with the rev is drop they scored a td. The Wilson drop stalled so I felt that was bigger. Also I was up for them being aggressive before the half but when its third and long I would have ran it to avoid the big mistake.

Also talk about a game of inches. If Sanchez is given maybe 2 tenths of second longer on the funnel play his arm is going forward.

That Kyle Wilson non-pick was brutal. Could have really changed the game. With that being said, you have to show up in the first half. The refs gave the Steelers their calls as they always do (nothing as bad as the 06 superbowl) but all that doesn't matter when you play like we did in the first half. I feel the pain. What a great season, though. Like JT said, I don't regret anything but the first half of this game. He was speaking of the preparation for this week, but I will juxtapose this quote to make a statement about the entire season.

You take exception to a rookie not catching a bullet that he had barely any time to react to, but had no problem with the easy interception Revis dropped that would have ended a scoring drive in the first half? I think that play was way bigger!

You certainly can't blame Revis for the loss, because he did a great job covering all night, but blaming Wilson as one of the two big plays that lost the game is just silly.

They all hurt. I've watched four AFC games and four brutal losses. The roughing the kicker penalty was a nice throwback to the wretched Gastineau call on Kossar in '86.

We'll get there. It just hurts to always watch your beloved Jets team fall short. I waited eighteen years for a Yankees World Series in '96, that's a drop in the bucket. Thirty years plus now for our Jets.

We'll regroup, retool and make it to the Superbowl. When is the big game in the New Meadowland, a home game for the Jets, now that would be sweet.

This game was really painful to watch.

We were one play away from winning.

There were so many mistakes and missed opportunities.

We were the better team and we blew it.

I don't even know where to start.

The fumble call where the ball went about two yards forward even if it did go ten yards up.

Shotty's mistake on the goal line wasn't the pass play but his failure to get the plays into Sanchez on time. If Sanchez didn't have to run to the sideline to get each call at the end of the drive he finds the endzone.

The 3rd down late hit called against Eric Smith.

    Dozens of missed tackles.

Too many run plays up the gut into the heart of the Steeler's defense.

Failure to keep Big Ben in the pocket on many occasions, especially the final 1st down conversion.

Special teams had a rough night as well.

Yep that was huge too. I yelled just as much for that pick as I did with Wilson.

    A. Learn to read, I never said those plays cost us the game, I said they were specifically bothering me.
    B. Revis' drop was absolutely brutal, and very costly.

Can someone post a YouTube or one of those in-thread video play of the last kickoff, maybe with a focus on McKnight and Coleman's mis-plays ????
