Can we stop being sentimental next year in giving LT a ton of reps and important carries in games???...Seriously I am confident Shonn Greene would have pummeled that dline of the steelers on the goal drive if Schotty was fucking smart enough to give him the ball back

LT will be a year older next year. It was pretty obvious the Jets started taking away carries from him late in the season. He won't be the starter next year, but the split would probably still be pretty eve.

I think Greene will see more action next year, I still think that they want to keep him as fresh as possible for the playoffs, especially if there is an 18 game season next year. Greene has really improved his pass blocking and receiving skills under LT's tutorage, I think it is time to pass the torch. Also, if there is an 18 game season, expect to see McKnight get more more involved next season. He may also be out Kick returner if Smith doesn't return.

LT is done. Give Greene and McKight the load. LT had about 4 good plays the last 8 weeks. No burst, no power, can't break a tackle or a big one.

Green was our starter this year.

And he lost his job based on his performance.

Unless we sign/draft a stud hb (doubtful) id be shocked if hes not our starting back

They should of given the ball to Greene there, he was on fire.

That said, you forget the beginning of the season..when greene was coughing up the football and looking like a young back. If it's not LT someone is going to have to be back there to compliment him.

I agree 100%. It's time to let Greene have the spotlight.

I agree with you on the last 8 games or so. But LT played big in New England, and in Indy.

LT protects the football well, and has a nose for the first down marker.

That was a bad call on the goal line. 3rd down was a bad call too.

They should have ran, out of that 3rd down formation. They had the Steelers D spread out in coverage, I thought they could have snuck LT up the middle. or even Sanchez draw. (Like the pats did to us on their 2 point conversion)

Here is what happened, from what I understand

Greene showed up to camp out of shape (from a few whispers, maybe more along the lines of not being in as good shape). He was probably overshadowed by McKnight being WAY out of shape. So the Jets coaching staff "demoted" him in favor of LT.

Then LT began to light it up early, and everyone thought he was back to the old LT. Of course Schotty is so stubborn he probably could never figure out he needed to give Greene more carries
