am i the only one who thiks blalock deserves another shot??i realize he didnt wow anyone last year but its not like he got any carries, and then he got hurt....anyone with speed is always dangerous...maybe hes a pleasant surprise and adds much needed help at rb
Agreed, I don't think we've given this guy a chance. Sure he played bad, but we would only have a team of rookies if that was our criteria for choosing guys to keep. I still like what he brings to us, and I'm willing to give him a chance at redemption. No reason to jump the gun and let him go after 1 sub par season.
Another example of why people need to think before posting. You're not amusing anyone, and there's no reason to slam a perfectly good thread... so what's the point?
BLAYLOCK was injured and played behind the worst Ol in the NFL with a STUPID Offense scheme that any 3rd grader could figure out! YES he deserves a chance and so does everyone else like BOLLY!
I'm not slamming anything... and it's not meant to be funny. Relax Captain Sarcasm. And congradulation, I was unaware that you became the voice of reason for the whole TGG board. Use it in good health. As for Tutt, why open up a thread about a former QB that was signed in Free Agency as a RB and most likely will never find a roster spot. The topic was a decent question, however, I would hardley call this a "perfectly good thread" (no offense Colez). Someone made the refference to Little John Flowers, and that's exactlly whats going to happen to this guy. He's an incredible athlete that will take a back row to the more incredible athletes in the NFL and we simply wont sign him with 4 prospective RB's. IMO PS- Mantana, I like your Avatar and Sig. The red's pretty cool.
I don't know if it was wrong word choice or not, but there was no hint of sarcasm in my post. I just ask that you think to yourself, "am I adding anything meaningful to the thread" before you post. That could be in the form of opinion, information, comedy, etc. "...... Who??????" is a waste of space. And I appreciate your congratulations... I guess someone has to do it.
First of all, I edited my post. Second of all I'm just busting your balls. Third of all, read any thread in this forum and I can guarentee you 40% are meaningless posts, theres no reason why this one should be any different. The point of my post is to show that this guy shouldnt even warrent any discussion IMO
He could make it as a fullback considering his huge size, and he has been working as an H-Back (i.e. Chris Cooley) during the rookie camps if the new management dislikes BJ Askew. Not likely, but it'd be a cool thing. Good chance he can make the practice squad, though.
Didn't know you were a moderator. I apologize for starting a thread that doesn't contain the names Pennington, Ramsey or Clemens. Brooks too but not too much :breakdance: From now on I'll check with you before starting a thread so I can know what topics warrant discussion or not. I also agree about the reference to Little John Flowers, an RB with some talent but might not get a chance. But he did make it pass mini camp and if he impresses he might make the practice squad.
I'm not a mod, I'm just entitled to my own opinion, as you are as well. He'd have to impress hard though, to move above Houston (which im not really impressed with) Blaylock and Washington
Yeah, it's cool. But there's nothing wrong with trying to find diamonds in the rough to upgrade a position that needs it. I like our four rb's but they're definitely upgradable. Whoever is hot is going to play.
Oh I totally agree. It just kinda sucks for them because a lot of them have a huge amount of talent, but they're overshadowed by bigger names which has to make them work that much harder to even be recognized. I had a friend that was signed to the texans outside the draft and then was picked up by the Chargers. He was an amazing athlete, all american, yada yada yada, but he wasn't known. Granted he has nothing on LT, he should have easily made the practice squad at least, but he was released by both teams. Like I said, I feel bad for them.
It would nice if he could find some spot on the team. He's got some talent and is versatile too. An H-back would be an interesting position for him if the Jets go that way.
