This. Fans have short term memories, and they forget that Brad Smith had some amazing runs this season. Hell, even a TD against this Steelers STs already.

Let's not forget that Cro is the #2 CB. One solid hit on Cro & the Jets are screwed on D. Rothlesberger is the best qb in the league at extending plays. Good chance to have plays where Jets DB are chasing receivers for 10+ seconds.

Smith > Cro even if Smith isn't 100% just based on their non-special teams positions.

    Hurt Smith = No Wildcat
    Hurt Cro = Weakened Secondary

You are totally right and thats what they are thinking....but it also doesn't change the fact that Cromartie looked deadly on returns

If Brad can do it, I want him back returning.

Cro will be doing enough running while he is on Wallace. Besides Brad Smith has been great all year, 5th highest average in the league.

Cro looks fast doing it but Brad knows where the holes are and how to slow it up when needed.

He averaged 35 yards a kick return...go do research before embarrassing yourself in front of your friends

No research necessary. I saw every return with my own eyes. Cromartie wins a foot race every time.

It depends on how healthy Brad is, I would think quite obviously. If he's not healthy enough he won't, and if he's healthy enough he will both run the wildcat and return punts. It's the middle ground that makes the answer more complex, and if he's in that middle ground I would rather he run the wildcat and be strong enough for that and let Cro return punts.

Hopefully he's strong enough to do both.

Give Smith the job. If he starts to struggle getting past the 20 then switch for Cro - he seems to get to the 35 or 40 on his returns.

Do you have the NFL Package on DirectTV?

So you must've watched some Jet games instead of Steeler games.

I actually thought I was responding to that other steelers dunce from the bandwagon thread when I told steelcurtain he didn't understand football. So that was my bad.

I still think he's dead wrong on this one.
