of course u folks are saying screw u jil with this stat and thread but here is the kicker.....

of those 7 losses, 5 have occurred at home (combo of 3 rivs and heinz).

me thinks this is in play here and definitely gives the jets a little karma being in pitt.

oh and how about this - sunday is the 23rd. the mud bowl was on the 23rd. maybe this will be a snow bowl with a diff result.

We'll have the most wins out of anyone in the 2011 NFL.

If the Packers win we'll be tied.

Haha... 7-7 is still pretty damn good. The Steelers aren't going to give up a win easily. They will make us pay for it. I have no doubt of that. I do like the home loss stat though.

Actually, if the Jets win out, they will be 15-5 and will have met Rex Ryan's stated goal to "lead the league in f*cking wins."

The venue doesn't scare me, the opponent is what I'm concerned about. We have a good shot to win but we have to play like we did last week and for most of the Indy game. If we show up and play our best we will win.

    Holy shit you're right.

You just added the cherry on what would be a storybook season.

i heard on SNY last night that the jets are 1 of 5 afc teams to make the afccg two years in a row.
the good news is that 4 of those teams made it to the superbowl so far.

The Steelers overachieved a few years with Kordell Stewart and even Neil O'Donnell. Other than the loss to the Charges, they always lost to a team with a better quarterback

Don't get us started... That asshole Kevin Gilbride ruined Slash. I'm glad Rex's dad knocked him out when they coached together in Houston.

Stats don't matter to me. Especially this season. Its the Jets at the Steelers. Winner goes to the Super Bowl. The Jets are playing better right now. Can they do it for 60 more minutes?

I'll even take 55 minutes, because 5 minutes won't be enough time after we outplayed them for 55 minutes.

Yeah I'm gonna err on the side of caution and hope the Jets ball out for 60 minutes.
