He definitely wants the Patriots to win, without a doubt so his picks will usually go that way, but he tries to be objective. It is his new job after all. I think Harrison has called out the Patriots on more then a few occasions too. The Deion Branch thing is silly. He's upset that the Pats lost. Yeah the Jets were whooping it up after a big win. Big deal. The same goes for LT when he was with the Chargers or the Jets after that Monday night game. The best solution to win the next game.
At the time, the interception looked like a big bullet that the Patriots dodged but in hindsight it was big. The Jets weren't settled and a quick TD would have certainly helped the Patriots mojo and maybe hurt the Jets confidence. I also think it made Brady tentative. But it was too early in the game to see it, too much game to be played honestly.
RR putting Drew Coleman at DE.... Brilliant scheming, I was really curious as to what we did different this time around. I agree with it all except the Shaun Ellis bit. He talks about the guy like he's accomplished nothing in his career prior to yesterday. Guy has been to pro-bowls, durable, appeared in many playoff games, has put up double-digit sacks in the 4-3 but can also work the 3-4 with no issues. That's not a 'dissapointing' career in my opinion, sure he needs a ring but a lot of players don't wind up winning a ring, Ted.
as others have mentioned, hated the player, but he's actually one of hte better analysts out there. he's objective(yes its his job, but not every one with roots in the game is as objective as he has shown), and obviously knows his shit about hte details of hte game. its actually refreshing to read his analysis as well as dilfer's. those two are probably tops that aren't on the nfl network- and one can argue both are better than some already there.
For as much as Dilfer loves Sanchez, he unequivocally picked the Pats yesterday. Happy to prove him wrong. Really interesting read.
Bruschi is great. He is right on with all of this. I especially agree with the importance of the early pick and the Crumpler drop, and the fact that Deion Branch should quit bellyaching.

Great analysis. Damn, I wish more retired players would develop into Bruschi type analysts. He gives you the viewpoint from an ex-player who's been there & done that. Yet he can discuss games involving his former team without the homer glasses. There's so many clowns getting air time that don't come close to Bruschi's level of analysis. == It's obvious he doesn't consider Ellis a great player but he does recognize Ellis playing the game of his life in a big spot & just being a major force for the Pats line to deal with.
Agreed. Nantz was soooo upset yesterday that his precious Pats were getting stomped. He's sure has the manlove for Brady.

The highlight was Nantz complaining and saying Greene's celebrating was excessive, then Phil Simms saying something along the lines of "there's a time and place for celebrating, and this is definitely it." Also, Branch is a bitch. After all his shit along the sidelines all game, the Jets are classless? OK, go back to Seattle, they won't care if you drop huge 4th down passes.
That and his desperate pleading for the Pats to come back and score two TDs in the final minute. He was pretty much begging.

Beginning of game mostly man.....later when ahead by 20 zone. At least that is what they did to the Jets and some other teams they were crushing at the end of the season.
