Great move by Rex... I thought it was sick when they carried out his Jersey yesterday. This Tops it!

I don't remember hearing a crowd bitching and whining for so many flags as the Squealers fans were in week 15. Every single fucking play they were howling for the zebras to call something on the Jets.

 

The Steelers and their fans have shown through the years that they are a top flight organization. My guess is that the Steeler fans will cheer for Byrd because 90% of them understand the game better then most NFL fans.

BTW the fact that Byrd is a fan of Rex shows how much bigger of an asshole Tony Dungy is. Byrd commented after he was paralyzed that this was in God's plan and he's as Christian as any guy who ever played in the league. I will never forget the little Christian symbol all the Jets wore on their helmets after Byrd got injured.

Could you fucking imagine if we win this game for the SB the Jets send out Joe Klecko, Richard Todd, Lance Mehl Freeman McNeil and Wesley Walker as captains for the game?

 

Super Bowl team Captain will be Buddy Ryan...Write it down!!

 

Don Maynard would be a good choice. He's from Texas and was a starter in Super Bowl 3.

 

How about the one from Vegas too. Can you imagine if Rex brought out those 2? I don't think America can handle that sense of humor. Even funnier would be to try and run that by the league.......

 

That's actually a great choice... Could you imagine? After the shit Namath talked this year they should send out all the living members of the SB III team except Namath.

That being said I think Rex wants to bury SOJ forever so he'd have to send out somebody like Gastineau or O'Brien. Somebody who embodied SOJ.

 

I would just like to get to the SB before we start worrying about honorary SB captains etc. lets focus on getting there.

 

That's fair. I'm trying to avoid SB talk for the most part, but might slip up a few times this week.

 

I'm not playing the game, I can talk SB but obviously we have a huge challenge ahead of us.

Not criticizing you guys, but we've been here 3 times and not gotten it done and we have a huge challenge in trying to beat the Steelers and I just am so frikken focused on getting over that obstacle. 40+ yrs is a long time to go w/o a SB.

 

Normally I subscribe to the "we're fans nothing we say matters" thought process...but I'm not willing to talk about the Super Bowl
