As far as the final 8-4-2 teams that make it deep into the playoffs? I hope not, because the Jets finially have a head coach in Rex, who players not only love to play for, but also dream of playing under. He's a real players coach, but he's also respected.

Just look at players such as Bart Scott, Cromartie, Jason Taylor and L.T... These players love to talk. Rex Ryan not only allows our players to have fun, but he also joins in on the fun himself.

Look at the ways our players celebrate on the football field... Sanchez, Greene, Edwards, L.T, Cro, Holmes, J-Co... They all love that flying like a Jet celebration, & you know what? They have fun with it. It's a game.

Our players don't have to worry about getting benched or thrown under the bus like Belly did to Welker. You wanna have fun Welker? Come to the Jets.

For a team that was extremely limited during the offseason, the Jets made a splash because of Rex. I hope we're not limited anymore, because the Jets can sign any talent we want; because of Rex.

I would imagine that it all depends on the outcome of the CBA negotiations. I am anticipating something of a free agent feeding frenzy this summer, but can we get this season finished before we start worrying about that please?

    Agreed

The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 10 characters.

Rather than make a new thread I had a free agency question myself.

Who from the Ravens could we expect rex to attempt to bring over this off season ? I mean obv were not gonna get McClain/Suggs/Ngata or anyone of their quality due to cap restraints, but the Ravens defense was pissed the fuck off yesterday.

They played their hearts out against their most hated rivals and for the most part did a stand up job, but their offense continues to be completely garbage and hold them down. Their window on them is closing FAST, Ray and Reed the heart soul and biggest talents (some of the best players of all time @ their positions) on that defense are very very close to retirement.

Hell that was the first time ive ever seen Lewis basically say our fucking offense is holding us back. (hell how often do we see an offense squander a 14 point lead in the playoffs). After the game he basically said our defense did everything that could be asked of them.

I really think frustration in Baltimore is going to continue to boil over, and ill be SHOCKED if we dont get at least 1 Raven this off season/next year (depending on the CBA and who ends up RFA/UFA and all that)

    Biggest question is who ?

I think, until a new CBA is drafted, the rules are the same.

Which is probably a very good thing for the jets.

If it stays with the same rules as last year until a new CBA is drafted, I believe Harris, Holmes, Cromartie and Brad Smith would all be RFA's. Which would be astronomically huge for keeping all of our players at reduced rate until we can get them signed long term.

I'm not "worried" about anything. It's a simple question in regards to free agency, and if the Jets weren't a final 4 team... I wouldn't have this question.

I'm just enjoying the fact that players such as Jim Leonhard, Bart Scott, Jason Taylor and L.T all signed with the Jets, as free agents, because of Rex Ryan himself. Even future free agents such as Edwards, Holmes and Cromartie have all made it known, that they would sign long term.

Thanks for that info jetsrule. First thing is first, I hope to see the Jets get Harris, Edwards, Holmes & Cromartie all locked up long term before looking at ANYONE else. All 4 of those guys have been huge for the Jets this year, especially during the playoffs.

Ed Reed's brother. He's not missing, Rex has a secret weapon.

The Ravens D was put in some unfavorable situations after the turnovers but giving up 31 pts to the Steelers isn't "doing the job". The Ravens secondary is suspect, and has been all year. Ed Reed puts up some nice numbers and highlights but the rest of the secondary has played pretty poorly. They benefit a lot from the front 7.

Assuming LT and Jason Taylor retire if we win the SB, possibly Ellis too, doesn't this set up the Jets to cash in big time during free-agency? Or do UFAs only qualify if they sign somewhere else?

I believe that until there is a new CBA, there is no free agency.. trust but verify..
