You really need to bring something more to the table. Your 11 posts haven't exactly been very enlightening.
Anything less than a win next week would be an epic fail. They are not as good as the Colts. They are not as good as the Pats and we have already beaten them once on their field. Again, it might be as bad a loss as the Jets have ever experienced if we lose this game.
I think the Jets just won their SB and are still in shock that they won. The Steelers EXPECTED to beat Flacco The Choker and the Ratbirds and match up well against the Jets. Sanchez is gonna get blitzed till he chokes too. Harrison and Woodley are on fire. Troy is back, the defense will clobber Sanchez and stuff the run. It's going to be a bloodbath.
You BARELY won and had to come back. Jets dominated a team that raped your team the way your QB rapes ugly chicks. So, :steelers:
As I see it Steelers Oline and RBs vs Jets front 7 - Advantage Jets Steelers WRs vs Jets secondary - Advantage Jets Special teams - Advantage Jets Roethlisberger vs. Rex Ryan - Advantage Steelers Sanchez vs. Dick LeBeau - Advantage Steelers Jets WRs vs. Steelers secondary - Advantage Jets Jets Oline and RBs vs. Steelers front 7 - Advantage Steelers Steelers Blockers Oline vs. Jets pass rush - Advantage Jets Jets Blockers and Oline vs. Steelers pass rush - Split Can actually beat the Patriots ever - Advantage Jets
Actually, the Steelers have won two SB's in the last 5 years, and I was HERE when we knocked you out of the playoffs in 2004 and now I'm back. hahahahahahaha
The Steelers are a better match up for the Jets than the Patriots. Rex will have to formulate a hybrid gameplan from the Indy game and Patriots game to apply to the Steelers. Revis will cover Wallace (edit), I presume. The key for the defense is to bring Roethlistberger down with 1st or 2nd contact, easier said than done.
One reason I like this matchup for us: the Steelers have nowhere near the number of weapons the Patriots had.
To be fair, if there was ever a time to face the Steelers...This is it. They are banged up. I want us to capitalize if we can on the areas where they are hurt. Like every QB, Big Ben need to get rattled...We also need to look at the Pitt vs. NE tapes along with our prior game against them. Our OL has to play the game of their lives again.
It seems to me this game mainly comes down to the play of our OL. We need to be able to run just enough to keep them honest and open up some play action passing. And we need to give Sanchez enough time to exploit our biggest advantage -- Our WR's agaisnt their DB's. If we can accomplish those things, I think we score in the 20's and that should be more than enough points for our defense to protect.
A completely different game then the last two. A big physical battle. Pittsburgh has a defense and a very good mobile QB in Rothesberger who is great at making plays on the move. Still the 3 1/2 point spread just points to a home field advantage as the difference.
