Anyone else found it sad that on two occasions, this man was saying "Looks like the Jets are staying down in an effort to try and stop the fast moving Patriot offense" as if to say that these players were faking injuries on purpose LOL. Cmon man..... Simms made a few mistakes like saying Logan Mankins was on the Jets but there wasn't any venom at least.
Nantz and Phil were so obvious in their hopes for the Patriots to come back and win it was ridiculous. Hoping and praying that the Patriots recovered one of those onsides kicks. No Peyton or Brady....now what do Jim and Phil do?
I guess they'll have to think about some other QB when they blow each other in the booth. Pittsburgh delenda est.
Simms is one of my favs... but anyone who doesn't remember, the Pats have done this shit for years especially against us whenever we were on a drive...
Breach Brother! I remember Simms late in the fourth saying "You gotta be positive and think the pats are gonna stop the Jets with a three and out". I was like "how the fuck is that positive unless you are a Pats fan??"
I don't know if Brodney Pool and Bart Scott's injuries were fake though. Pool seemed to have twisted his knee and Scott seemed to have banked his calf on Woodhead's helmet as he was going down. Who honestly knows...just it was kind of sketchy an announcer would declare that the Jets are purposely trying to slow down the Pats offense. It was like shades of Cal vs Oregon lol.
Nantz has been on the Pat's dick for years now. It made no sense for the Jets to be faking injury, at the times when they happened. Especially the Bart Scott one That injury actually helped New England, because it stopped the clock. At that point, I'm pretty sure the jets just wanted as much time possible to get off the clock And the Poole one was an obvious injury. They even showed the video where he rolled his ankle and fell to the ground, while the play was still going on. If he was going to fake it, wouldn't he have waited until after the play
I don't think Simms is biased at all, if anything he's extremely pro-Nacho and has been a big Nacho fan since before the NFL Draft. Also loved how Simms knocked Nantz off his high horse when Nantz was poo-poo'ing Shonn Greene's celebration and the celebration penalty. Simms was like, if there was any time to take that penalty - that was the time.
I was even sitting at home going "Hell yeah celebrate bitches...you just won the game!" Nantz was still in Pats cheerleader mode and was thinking the 15 yard penalty would somehow give the magic man Tom Brady the chance to pull off the miracle. What a douchenozzle....
