Just like the last time these two teams met, I'm not worried but looking forward to it. I just hope that this time, the Jets show up and put up a fight, even if they lose.
You're delusional, end of story. I'm not a SOJF by any stretch of the imagination but facts are we don't match up well with the Patriots and the last time we played we lost by 42. If you're supremely confident that the Jets are gonna win then more power to you but you did not come to that conclusion by a rational thought process.
I just feel like we know what we are up agaisnt and I am interested to see what we can do. I can't say I'll be angry or upset if we lose, but if it is a 30 point drubbing I will be a little disgusted. If we beat them that's when it'll be trouble because then I'll start believing we'll win the Super Bowl....bordering on expectation, which would be bad. I guess what bugs me....and maybe some disagree, but I believe that player for player we are more talented than the Patriots. If you compared every starter on the Jets 1-to-1 with every starter on the Pats, the Jets palyer would be considered "better" more than half the time. I guess that's why you play the games....and that's also what sort of makes this Rex vs. Bill. Or any real technical understanding of the game. A win this week will be a huge feat. We need to out-execute the Pats. That's always hard to do.
This year I've been calm until the end of the game, because the Jets are that team this year. The first half never matters, you could honestly sleep through it. Its the second half and especially the last 5 minutes of the game that matter with the Jets. When it comes to this game, its about the Jets going into Foxboro and proving they are mentally ready to play there. If they lose by one possession, I don't see anyone giving them shit. It means they fought their ass off. Being a Jets fan, I think they can win any game. It is football after all. But I have a rational side, and this is an uphill battle.
I'm worried heading into every playoff game. It's extremely tough for any team to make it this far. I know the horrid feeling of losing a heart-breaking playoff game. Just the thought of losing this game hurts. Before last season, 1998 was the last time we made it to the AFC Championship game. We have the type of football team that can win it all this year; I'm not sure if I could deal with another 10-12 long seasons without making it back to the AFC championship game; just to play for a chance to make it to the SB. We have the team to do it now. I'd be lying of I wasn't scared of Brady, BB & the Patriots in NE, but I'd also be kidding myself if I said I wasn't anxious, excited, pumped up like never before, & ready to see my Jets take the field against the Patriots for an AFC East playoff battle. Just like I knew we could beat Palmer & the Bengals, Rivers & the Chargers, along with Manning & the Colts (2x); I also know we can beat Brady & the Pats on the road. So far they've came through 75% of the time.
A big part of that was losing Leonhard right before the game. and remember, at 24-3..it was still a game till mark threw the pick. The defense is fixed, pretty much. IF Schotty calls a decent game, we can go in there and win. P.S. Jets are usually great as Road Dogs.
huh??? That was the HALFTIME score!!! Are you trying to tell me that the Jets were still in the game at halftime?
I still had high hopes, since the first meeting you only scored 14 points in the 2nd quarter. Being shutout in the rest, it was not out of the question. Did you come here just to be a dick or to actually talk football, all I've read from you is typical troll BS?
ok guys...for all of you in the USA is a normal thing but i'm so excited to see the game live on sunday night here in Italy. Also worried for two reasons...sanchez on the field and mr. shotty on the sideline. GO JETS....please wipe out that arrogant smile from belichck's face!!!
I think I'm one of them. I don't know if I'm not worried because if we lose it wuoldn't be a shock, or if it's because I full on expect us to win. But I am really at ease about this game. That said, it's only Tuesday.
I'm more worried about the Ravens. I think we beat the Pats, and the Ravens beat the steelers easily.
I bought into the 1/10/11 presser too. That's not a dig at ya Jtuds, I think the statement on talent is true. Jets can win, but are obviously going to have to perform better than they have been. I don't think they need a ton of breaks to go their way in order to advance either, if things click. It maybe a little late in the season to be holding on to statements like that, but I do. The gap between production and potential might be too much of a span this Sunday, but I'm willing to jump. Not worried about it. Shock and surprise is entertainment. Besides its the playoffs, time to quit crying already. So many teams have already lost. J-e-t-s get to play, yay! Go Jets.
