Fair take by you. I just kind of laugh when I hear stuff like, "Well THAT explains how they shut down Manning in the '03 and '04 AFC championship games!" (Um, defensive signals, people, defensive signals...) Or like the writer who's suggesting it may still be happening even with radios in defenders' helmets. That kind of stuff. But you're right, it happened, which opens the floodgates to this kind of crap.
Maybe its better to worry about how to run on the pats D and how to cover the two tight ends on the O side than preparing an excuse like spygate for a possible loss.
I have never understood the argument that the Pats didn't benefit from cheating. Why would they cheat, risk getting caught, and fined and perhaps worse, if they were not benefitting from cheating? That would seem rather perverse.
Yes I know they didn't win in 2007 but they played well enough to get there. And it took a pretty improbable play even then for them to lose so that's argument is kind of weak.
No one ever thinks they are going to get caught and get penalized heavy if they do. Ask Sal. Did Nixon really need to break into Watergate. Was he not going to win in 72?
Of course there was a benefit to it... think of it as your way of separating the Homers from the Super Homers. Interesting question for you guys though... Don't you think it would be very, very likely that the same practice took place in NY? Belichick and Parcells ran the show there for a while. Odds are the filming didn't just suddenly start in 2000 when Belichick came to NE. And would that change your opinion at all?
No cause we didn't win 3 superbowls. Its also a different regime. Cannot hate the Jets for a coach 10 years ago cheating. That is like hating America because Alexander Hamilton was shot in a duel 200 years ago.
he is right on the brady calls nearly every hit on him is called whereas sanchez can get clobbered in the afc title game last yr and no call
Who even wants to hear this dumbass talk? Belichick is the worst head coach to ever be considered good. All the guy knows how to do is cheat. All I hear about is how good he is, and blah blah blah. How many championships has he won legitamately? OH YEAH 0. Rex Ryan is a much better head coach in every aspect. I would take him over Belicheat ANY day of the fucking week. Bill drafted Brady (who is also SUPERBLY overrated aswell.. I wouldnt even put him as a top 10 QB today and would take Sanchez over him any day aswell.. but thats a different story). After Brady, who else his this "great" coach drafted? Oh yeah.. NOBODY GOOD.
we all hate brady and wish death upon him every night but the dude is maybe the best ever to play the position
Who do you consider the best today then? Give me your top 5. I'm as big of a Brady hater as they come, but to say he isn't even near the best is a little farfetched.
i can tell u his top five of all time easy without ever meeting him joe namath mark sanchez vinny testaverde richard todd chad pennington
Dude what are you, like 12yrs old. You dont have a clue. Homerism of the brain. Talk with your head, not with your heart:wink:
