I agree. If Brad Smith isn't 100% I'd go with Cromartie. With all that said, I really hope we have a healthy Brad Smith, for the simple fact, not only is Smith a great kick returner, but Cromartie will become extremely important for our secondary this Sunday. Against Brady and the Pats, an injury to Cromartie would cost us.
In case anyone hasn't noticed, no matter who we put back there to return kicks they have success w/ westhoff as our STs coach.
This is correct. Kevin Williams,Craig Yeast,Chad Morton,Justin Miller,Leon Washington,Brad Smith, and Now Cromartie have all had alot of success returning as Jets thanks to Mr. Westhoff.
I still don't want to lose Brad after this season just like I didn't want to lose Leon but if we do lose Brad we'll be fine returning kicks as long as we have Westhoff although Mike is supposed to retire after the '11 season.
“That’s just his personality,” cornerback Antonio Cromartie said. “He brings a different style of coaching. He trusts us. So we trust him. I don’t worry about what he says. I’ll run through a brick wall for him.” It pumps me up so much when I read stuff like this. Rex means so much to these guys and vise versa - it's comforting as a fan to know that no matter what the circumstances are, these Jets will NEVER quit.
I was very disappointed with the TD to Garcon, but I think Pool shared in the blame for that. And Cro not only mostly had a good game other than for that in coverage, while the return was huge. But so was Edwards. What a great play.
i'd give the game ball to marshawn lynch, yeah i know he didn't play for any team in this game but i heard rumors he's still breaking NOs tackles 2 days later
