Edwards is our big play guy. I know Holmes made big plays for us but dropped critical passes like tonights 3rd & 5. A lot of the touchdown passes were caught because they were setup by plays by Edwards.
I hate you but I agree, and have wanted Edwards back before Holmes. THey've both been incredible though, and I want both.
Agreed. I'll take Edwards over Holmes any day. We did fine without Holmes the first 4 games of the season and all last year....
both of these guys have had clutch streaks and cases of the dropsies holmes has been a superbowl mvp but has had a tough run lately
Before its all over with, I have a feeling we sign both Holmes and Edwards but Cromartie probably is a wash vis a vis Smith. Hard to say right now..
no...he said sign Edwards before Holmes. Without Holmes and his clutch play....we don't make the playoffs. I'm not saying get rid of Edwards....but I wouldn't be so hasty to put him ahead of Holmes in the pecking order.
I'll take Holmes first over Edwards. Much more valuable to us in terms of YPC. Should be YAC Forget the drops. As for Smith I'm on record (just a little) on supporting him As for Cromartie one year offer and learn to play press coverage. If he doesn't burn the witch
you forget that Santonio also made a pivotal catch in that final drive...He does have mental lapses too, but he is a #1 target man
Braylon really has stepped it up this year and he is a great blocker. Not to mention he does seem to have a good rapport with Mark.
And like I said, as a running team, he's right. Until we change our identity, Edwards is more valuable bang for the buck with his blocking ability.
Ironic number 10 on our team almost ruins it for us and then number 10 on the other team gives it back!
Braylon's blocking is pivotal in the run game....i'll agree with that. But it's not enough for me to turf Holmes in favor of him In a perfect world, I'd love to keep both.....but Holmes is more clutch.
It seems like Holmes's focus is always questionable, while Braylon is always giving 100 percent. Example being that challenge by Caldwell where Santonio nearly touched the ball and gave the Colts amazing field position. Braylon is a great run blocker in addition to being a clutch receiver when it matters. I really wish we could sign both, we will see what Tanny can come up with.
